Alright then, allow me to explain myself. I have not yet downloaded the DaNK sample. In process, but it's being a dick and going extremely slow for some reason. So there it is.

At the moment, all I have to go off of is the JPEG, until the aforementioned sample is downloaded. And the "maVen" JPEG looks better than the DaNK JPEG. Hence my reaction at seeing what appeared to be a superior version.

And it's already been established that it's not a TC, it's a TS.

Frankly, I don't give a shit who releases them. I want the best one, period. Somebody comes along with a better release than maVen? I'm there. I have no "loyalty" to them. But I know that their quality is typically pretty damn good, so I tend to pay attention when they release something. I'm not going to ignore them just because they're maVen, like some people around here apparently do.

Its a mislabled TS (a guy is walking across the screen at aprox. 48.25 min of cd1, like stated before). Nice quality TS though. Very watchable. No sync problems found yet.

As TS:
V: 7,5
A: 6,5 (not the best)

When you say "mid film", are you referring to the split between CD1 and CD2, or at another spot that's on CD 1 or CD 2? The split itself seemed to be accurate. If there's missing footage somewhere else, please provide the time (Mins. and secs.), and which Cd it's on.....

Lol, there are heads in the release but the guy at 1:35 is IN the movie. If you notice he looks like a pirate (his bandana or w/e is shaking as he runs). Also, a head in the theater would be bigger in the picture. For that to be a person running in front of the camera the screen would have to be imax size.

I still don't get the whole maVen rls showing up then not... having a sample pic upped.. WTF?

I smoked some bad gonja or something dude.. cuz this rls reminds me alot of batpoo and hydro's rls... but not a guy throwing his camera into a paper bag it sounded like.
btw, what if I was able to get a cam into a theater, with dimmed lights (enouph to see around you) throughout the whole movie.. would I essentially get a better picture capture?

Video: 8, somewhat cropped along bottom edge...didn't look that bad otherwise

Audio: 5.5, hiss through most of the movie, a lot of sync issues especially into 2nd disc

Movie: Great! See it!

Video is definitely a TS, as you can see by the head after the logo screen, and again at 48 minutes. AR is good, but bars are very wide. Colors are nice, with very little blockines.

Audio is direct, but not the greatest. Dialogue is very low, and those of you who have monster speakers will notice the bass hum, and the heartbeat of bass that is previlant. Some FM static towards the end of CD2. Some other minor glitches and pops. Many scenes are badly out of sync though. CD2 is the worst starting around 21 minutes. It comes and goes, but it is very annoying. Whats with the voice over at the title screen? I'm assuming the beeps are where they interlaced the English audio and the Russian??

Movie was very good. I can't wait for the third. Great effects, and good story. Bring on POTC3!

CATBOX

V - 6 as a Telecine ( start labeleing your $#!T correctly ) 8 as a TS
A - 5 for being OOS, and for glitches mentioned above
M - 9 Very good, but not quite up to par with the story from #1

and all of u guys who r flaming this should stfu b.c the audio may not be perfect but its not that bad, and at this group should be allowed rls a good quality TS w/o you bitchs flaming it , and u r comaparing them to maVen but no 1 has been able to put out stuff lile maVen no 1, this rls sure comes close though, i mean at least this group is steady, maVen doesn't allways ptu stuff out but groups like these we can depend of so stop flaming b,c i bet unless by some chance maVen puts out one this is as good as we r gunna get to maybe a screener down the line

I watched the whole thing and it rocks....Don't give a shit who's copy it is....It was good copy no sync issues and I could give a shit if TS or TC....and I dont give a shit about some dudes head...it was not bad at all!!!!! Thanks Dank....How about doing "little Man"..lol

are they the same rls if so please let me know, because i can probly take the audio from the other prevail version and put it with this video and it wouldn't be out of sync. but if they're different then it take along time to get it right.

Dude...This is PERFECT. Why do you guys have such high expectations of release groups? If you care about quality that much go to the theatre and record it yourself....
