missing audio

after 1 minute the audio dissapears throughout, dissapointing...

Posted by chateau on 07-20-2006 12:34 AM:

the audio is not missing. take some time to figure things out. it's encoded poorly, so that the audio is sent to the rear channels of a surround sound system (and hence, you get nothing from simple stereo), but it's there and you can send it to the front channels easily enough if you know what you're doing. I suggest you look around and you'll find solutions. this is def better than DANK, their sound was not half as good as this, and this is a better encode job on the video too.

8/7(would be higher if they got the surround thing right)/8

Highly decent relase. Saw it in the theater originally and I don't remember any missing scenes from this release. Someone mentioned it may have been around when Will boarded that wrecked ship, I wasn't paying attention at that part so I can'd confirm or deny it. Either way nothing important was missing.

V: 8 - nice, not blurred but I thought the color was lacking as with most TSs I have watched.
A: 7 - a bit quiet but I only noticed a sync issue at the end of the movie.
M: 6 - It would have been a better film if it had ended about 40 minutes earlier. It just kept going and going.

Big thanks to you guys, gals, and the reviews. You all say pretty much the same thing: great video like dank's, much improved sound with no sync issues. And that is exactly how it is.

Great PUKKA release, get it.

This release is great, compared to all the other bullshit copies of this movie.

v6 Not that nice but clear, very watchable
a8 It sounded way too quiet on the pc but once I got it going on the xbox it seemed nice and clear, very good source
m not really interested, didn't get it for me

Edit: I'd like to add that I was watching this on a TV without stereo sound, I'm sure that will explain why I rated it so high.

I]"same vid as dank but the audio suxxxxxxxxxx try it on ya standalone after about 2 mins the sound goes dead i had to turn up the voll max and still couldnt hear what was being said "[/I]

I had the same problem when i used DVD Santa.
try using a different encoder, worked well with crappy nero.

V - 7.5
A - 7
M- waiting for that definitive release

Posted by LOLobo on 07-24-2006 10:02 AM:

I should have waited. Now I regret having watched this release.

Pic is watchable, but has some very dark scenes.

Audio seems perfect at first... but after a few minutes, and for the rest of them film, changes to a "lower" and lower quality audio.

Movie - I was expecting something much more impressive. This did not compare to the first, but then again... it is not over. In the fashion of Kill Bill, this too is the first part of a longer squel.

I might watch it again as a dvdrip to get a better feel for the movie.

6/5/7

Click HERE or Dog Eating Bees will eat your family. Seriously.

The audio source is actually mono.
They tried to create a 'fake stereo' effect but that resulted in audio that is out of phase. (--> therefore the 'rear speaker' effect).

Very bad attempt from them to hide the fact that their audio is mono.

Video is watchable, though.

Probabily best release out at the moment i think in my opinion, which is kind of O shaped.

May have actually commented on this one already but oh well.

V-8
A- 6 (much better if you fiddle about with the levels in goldwave or Ngwave and mux it all together again like a fine cake)

watched this last night on my parents big screen... sounded great at first then at 2 minutes in all the sound was transferred to the back... it was annoying, but still decent sound.

anyway theres a few cuts here and there in this film, prolly to fit it all in, there the one with will on the ship it never shows him boarding the wreckage or the guy still trying to sail the ship after its been wrecked. also another was at the end when elizabeth was kissing jack and cuffed him, prolly about a 2 sec edit. but still there.

i only noticed 2 out of syncs on this. its when, davey jones takes down the second ship with the kracken, then looks for will. and another at the very very end....

all in all though i give this a 8 all around

Posted by Dark Drake on 07-26-2006 03:32 PM:

oh and btw anyone know how to send audio to front speakers... cause this doesnt work on my tv cause i dont have a surround sound.

7/6/8

PS: First few minutes are cam audio.
And there's "dots" at 0:25:22 and 0:31:06 of CD1.
There's lots more but I cannot be arsed writing them all down.

Very watchable. There IS A MISSING SCENE!!! It is, however, hardly noticable.
