I too thougth it was a piece of shit when I watched it, but after watching it you realise it's actually really good when thinking back. Like some weird subliminal

Nice!!!

V:8 - Tiny bit blury in spots
A:8 - Audio is heavily compressed in the first 5 minutes or so (during intro sequence especially - and a bit through the chase sequence
M:8 - Really good Bond film. Much different to previous outings. Bond is harder (tough mofo) but gets his arse kicked around alot too (more realistic). Comedy is basically non-existant, which makes for a darker and more serious film. Tad long towards the end, and maybe needed a few more flashy ladies and perhaps some cooler gadgets...

Overall, a great realease from Pukka and the Ruskis!!! Well worth the download - even the two disks. I think Pukka is basically doing the best releases at the mo.

7.5-8/7/8 - Worked.

Very decent copy, extremely watchable. Thanks a lot PUKKA.

watched this on the TV tonight (60")

This is the best TS I've seen in a long, long time. Could pass for a average TC.

Video is sharp, colors are good (a little faded) and the sound is very good (no hissing, etc, only a few spots where it drops in sound level for 30 seconds).

Movie... sad day for the Bond series. This guy looks more like a bad guy/boxer than a bond. Movie dialog wasn't clever or witty and the story is average.

Great job Pukka.

Pukka release for the time being!

Video: 8
Audio: 7
Movie - Not watched yet

Kick Ass TS from Pukka! No faults noticed.

Looks like a flickering 8mm home-movie to me. Shall wait for the retail DVD. Won't rate it as I'm only familiar the with the latter.

Great quality, great film.

V - 9
A - 7 (fades in and out abit - most noticable at the beginning
M - 8.5 (Best Bond ever imo)

Posted by HBx2000 on 11-20-2006 05:36 PM:

V=8, just a little angle.. Nice colors.
A=7, just a few times I noticed a switch in audio quality
M=8, what it misses in action, it makes up for in suspense

Bottomline: Perfect release so soon, for this solid Thriller!!

Posted by druss on 11-20-2006 06:01 PM:

not the great TS of mvn or indeed ctp...
however pretty damn nice.

8/7/8(if not viewed as a retro bond film)

best ts i have seen for an early release for a long long time..props PUKKA

The video isn't bad, nor is the audio, just not what I'd consider great either. But more than watchable. Saw this in the theater, fantastic movie, vastly superior to the last 3 Bond flicks and an all around excellent movie. (And a very good adaptation of the book, they did a great job w/ the ending, comparatively speaking.)

Only downer? Where the hell were the naked Bond girls in the intro, dammit.

Posted by fleeto on 11-20-2006 09:43 PM:

as good as i think its gonna get , watchable anyways

Posted by ol_perfesser on 11-21-2006 01:41 AM:

This is probably as good as it gets for a next day release. All the way through the final credits. Must have been done in an empty theatre. Sound fluctuates - loud music and sound effects, low speaking. Maybe surround sound and sitting by the back speakers <g>. Non-stop action for most of the movie. Not much of a plot otherwise. Interesting update of the Fleming novel. Poker instead of baccarat, Prague instead of Monte Carlo, elipse instead of whatever Russian spy group (spectre?)

7/7.5/9

Hope awards season will get us a SCR of this

This was a really good Bond film, you guys have to remember that its the 1st Bond movie and is showing how he becomes our loved James Bond, so he's going to be rough around the edges
it showed how he finally started wearing tailored suits, refining his lady killer tactics, why he uses his real name etc

and its the first bond so he wont have all the neat gadgets yet

thats why the very last scene is so important with the "bond, james bond" and the shot of him

what pisses me off is that old lady as M, she shouldnt be in there if its the first bond film -_- but then i guess a lot of other things shouldnt be int here :/

Posted by emoheadbanger924 on 11-21-2006 08:35 AM:

After watching an hour of it converted to DVD-R

V-8 (a good telesync, not great but good)
A-6 (not good at all, dialogue is hard to understand sometimes and the action scenes are filtered too heavily)
M-10 (watched in theaters today and loved every minute of it!!!)

Posted by vanzan on 11-22-2006 07:05 PM:

Video 8
Audio 5
Movie 6

I was left a little confused by the movie but the bad audio and inaudible conversations throughout did not help.

The audio really is bad.
