havent really got that many games for mine, got a new car so im razzing round in that all the time and kind of neglecting my Wii at the moment.

The GC version of Res Evil 4 is kickass if you havent already played it. And i'm waiting for Bust A Move Blast to come out.

NS will probably have more recommends than me, but thats because he is retarted and can't drive anything more than a motobility scooter

NEVERSOFT'S WII/GC REVIEW-O-RAMA

Zelda TP - Fantastic although the "fetch quests" get a little boring and your next objective isn't always explained very well, leaving you meandering around looking for something to do. Sexeh graphics and nice controls. 8/10

Super Monkey Ball - Very good at first but not enough depth to the main game and it doesn't last long. Coupled with a shitload of mostly wank mini games. Worth a rental but don't buy. If you want a decent Monkey Ball game, get the GC one 5/10

Rayman Raving Rabbids - Extremely funny and not bad graphics. Good for a laugh and worth the purchase... Just don't pay full RRP 8/10

Warioware: Smooth Moves - Shows the Wiimote for what it is... VERY accurate. Quirky game and a good showcase for the Wiimote but totally lacking in decent two player games. It has em (once you beat the one player game) but you take it in turns to play... Not only is this stupid as I have four Wiimotes (with nunchucks) but it flies in the face of all the safety dogshit regarding wrist straps as the multiplayer games encourage you to rapidly pass the Wiimote to the next player. A bit of a "Marmite" game, you either love it or hate it - I love it. The Darts game is good (once you turn it on). Oh, and the graphics mostly suck arse although I guess thats just part of the "quirkyness" 8/10

Wii Sports: Better than free beer! Crap graphics but it doesn't matter. Fan-fucking-tastic. 10/10

Wii Play: Laser Hockey, Tank Game and the Billiards aren't bad but the rest of the games are bunk. Not bad if you need a Wiimote anyway though 4/10

I also grabbed a few GameCube games...

Mario Sunshine: Not *as* good as Mario64 but still damned decent. The camera is the biggest let down as it's a step-back from M64 as it's almost entirely manually panned. 8/10

Resident Evil 4: Looks gorgeous and plays well. If you like Resident Evil games, this one is the dogs! A twat to buy cos you can't find the fucker anywhere but if you do, uNF!! 9/10

Eternal Darkness: Not bad graphics (for a GC game) and the insanity system works well. Similar to other survival horror games but different enough to stand out. Worth checking out. 7/10

I think that's all I've got (from memory). Oh, you also need a Wavebird controller... If you can find one

Yep, Resident Evil 4 is tricky to get hold of. Got mine off Ebay for £20, a GC controller (couldnt be arsed with the wavebird) for £10 and a 128mb GC memcard (you cant save GC games without one) for a tenner.

I've already got Res 4. Bought it for my Cube ages ago!

Now, you have presented me with a problem, my fallback game AFTER Red Steel was Super Monkey Ball! Now i'm not so sure. I might just pick up Wario or maybe just pre order Mario Galaxy

When is Mario Galaxy out?

Posted by Neversoft on 03-01-2007 01:27 PM:

Well, it was supposed to be this month but I *think* it's currently Q4 2007 and I suspect it will get pushed to Q1 2008...

... On a plus side though: Metroid, Smash Brothers, SSX Blur (had mixed reviews though due to overly "Wiierd" controls), Tiger Woods and The Godfather are all pretty much imminent

Oi bitches, we're off-topic. Should I create a Wiiview thread (so many Wii puns, so little time) and get this one back onto the subject of mod chips?

I've just noticed that a hacked drive firmware is available now to negate the need to solder anything. Doesn't have any of the neat tricks of the mod chips like multi region etc but hey... No soldering

Apologies... I *thought* it was a hacked firmware but when I dug a little deeper it's just an open source modchip: http://www.maxconsole.net/?mode=news&newsid=14796

Oh and GameTracker reckons 1st June for a Mario Galaxy UK release - I'm not convinced

No need to solder now if you can knock up a cable yourself (although I'm sure they'll retail soon) and have a pc nearby. You need to run the .exe loader each time you boot up the wii (only after power has been disconnected I -believe-) but it apparently works.

Just have a look for one of the loaders that's kicking around. I don't have any links at present but you're all more "l33t" than me so I'm sure you can come up with something!

still shopping around for the best chip, but thought i'd toss in my two cents on wario ware.

all it is, and this is the truth, is a wii version of 4 second fury. multiplayer is the suck, and if not for delays on mario party (not till june 1 now) i wouldn't have had to purchase it thinking it would be something good.

that is all.

I'm up for a straight swap: Warioware for Red Steel if you're interested.

That is just wrong.

Anyway, if any of you cunts in the UK are after Excite Truck and have a Gamestation near you, they are selling it for a penny under 20 quid!

Just picked up my copy!

Have you sold it already?

Nope, but I have bought Exite Truck so thanks for the heads up... Gamestation have offered me £18 for Warioware so I'll probably flog it.

Probably not... I didn't want to "buy" Excite Truck, I wanted to swap Warioware for something else - so I need to cash that in now otherwise I'll be pissed off when I'm hunting around for £20 the day before pay day!

Besides, the reviews for Red Steel aren't great and MoH is out soon for some FPS kickassness

erm... We should take this to another thread so we're not hijacking the modchip one

AAAANNNNNYYYWWWWAAAAY.

Thinking of modding my Wii too... Apparently there are 3 decent chips on the market. Which do you cunts suggest?

CycloWiz
WiiKey
Wiinja

go go GO!
