VHS screener? are you people insane?!
clearly sourced from a dvd, although the file size has very noticeably limited the video bitrate on this release:
V: 7
A: 9

it's about time(get it)..very good copy

a:10

As a Workprint
V:8
A:8
Film: 10, the best of the series.
I'm sure the grainyness is only due to the initial encode. Disipointing if it was actually a DVD source instead of a WP or Screener.
I'm not great at encoding, but I wonder if there is a proper released, that it would, using the same source, have much better resolution...
Suprisingly the movie is good enough that you can actually get past the fact that the timestamp and water marks are there.
Great flick
::ModEdit: Make your requests in the appropriate forum::
Despite time code on bottom and Universal logo on top, this is a copy of the film to watch. Easily ignorable are the two gestures that appear, you'll be paying attention to DVD quality movie on your computer that's still in cinemas, enjoy, I know I have...
Excellent timing for this release, same as the opening date in the UK.
Only slight flaws are the timer and the watermark.
Timer isnt that difficult to resolve as it can be cropped .
I saw the film last night in the cinema and the bottom of the screen was similar to where you can crop this release.
Audio is excellent .
I thought the film was the weakest of the three but still enjoyable.
Definitely seems like a workprint. The video seems a bit noisy. Doesn't seem at all DVDScr quality. But that said this is the best quality version yet. And BTW the movie is fantastic.
This is not a workprint. Maybe according to what the scene thinks a workprint is, then you might call it a workprint. Do some research and you'll discover what a workprint really is.

Great Copy thanks imbt who care if its a dvd screener or a workprint i loved it thanks again
video 9/10
sound 9/10
movie 9/10
keeping them coming thanks
The source is not VHS, it is a DVD. As mentioned before, it's bitrate has dropped due to length of movie showing up some pixelation.
V = 8 (Due to Watermark and large timer)
A = 9.5 (The audio on this is amazing)
M = 9 (Great movie, full on action from start to finish)
whhooooT!
Great release, great timing!
Video 8/10
Audio 9/10
Movie 9/10
Keep um coming!

watched this on the tv tonight (57")
quality is superb. timer isn't that annoying or the water mark.
looks like a dvd source to me (not vhs as mentioned previously in this thread)
audio is excellent.
v: 9
a: 9
m: 8.5 (the jumpy camera work gets a little annoying)
rated as a a screener
v.8 compressed to 1 disk plus timer loses it the 2 points. Once you get into the movie u sort of forget the timer so it doesn't annoy that much.
a.9 excellent audio worked on my 5.1
m.8 great action, though different to the book, still a good story lots of action. The camera angles and way they changed was a bit annoying at times, but a excellent conclusion to the Bourne trilogy.
Till the DVD is available this is worth getting, and its only a 700MB xvid!! Converted to DVD worth the effort, to watch on your TV.
Recommended.
8/8/8
Great flick, PLENTY of action.
Should have been two discs... but only suffered during dark scenes.
Audio sounded too bass-y, but then again it is likely my shit TV.
Movie ends the series rather well.

Haven't watched the full thing yet but it must be a workprint because there seems to be placename titles missing.
Late as always
Yes yes, late as ever.
Before rating this I have to of course mention the source, and the nuke. "p2p source"... sure, why not. Could be, though I've yet to find the source it comes from myself. The fact that no DVDRs (at least that aren't converts of the XviD version) have appeared anywhere would seem to track with that. As for it being a workprint...
Okay, depends on what you mean by a workprint. As far as I can tell nothing major is missing, no duplicate scenes (a la the Episode 3 workprint a few years ago) and no special effects or anything else seem to be left out either. Then again, I've not seen this in theaters, so there might be some scenes or effects missing. If that's the case, then sure, it's what I'd call a workprint, but otherwise it's just an internal viewing copy; counters do not a workprint make.
Finally, I don't buy the source being a VHS tape, or any tape for that matter. Video quality, particularly the chroma layer, is far too detailed to be any consumer analog format, and outdoes most "pro-sumer" (non-digital) tape formats as well. Without seeing the actual source I can't be sure, but it's far more likely this is from a digital source than a tape, probably a DVD. (A crappy DVD maybe, but still)
Therefore, rating as a DVDSCR:
Video - 6: This is much, much better than anything else out there, but it suffers from numerous issues. Firstly, it's grossly undersized, meaning there are tons of compression errors and lots of block noise due to the low video bitrate. The compression errors are almost nostalgic in way: I've not seen this many inverted pixels and motion trails since the last time I watched my DivX 3.11 copies of Ranma½. The counter at the bottom is fairly annoying as counters go, though fortunately it doesn't obscure any vital bits of action. (Personally I blurred them out with an adaptive blur overlay on each individual number anyway) While the counter takes off some points on my rating, the bulk of the reason is because of iMBT's shit job of encoding this video.
Audio - 9: Audio, by contrast, is done far better. Good bitrate, in sync, sounds great. Decent encoding job. Not much more to say.
Movie - 8: I liked it. I expected a bigger, better dénouement (that's "ending" for you philisitines) than what we got though. The action scenes leading up to the final scene gave you this great sense of buildup, and then the final scene kind of just... well... ended. Still, damn good film throughout; I really hope there will be a sequel.
Bottom Line: Best version out there at the moment, but it's riddled with quality issues due to inept encoding. If you're one of those people who twitches when there's a moving counter on the screen you might want to avoid this copy and wait for the R5 to come out. Otherwise, it's a decent watch.
Workprint or not, best out there...
V 8 (9 without timer & embed)
A 8.5
M 9
