Angle still sucks. Why, as someone mentioned, are folks giving praise. Groups wont correct themselves if they think people are going to accept it. No matter how much a group denies ever listening ot the people, they prob dont like being todl their stuff sucks... Sample once again has the horrid again.

1/7/ NA ( cant watch the garbage)

Posted by fluffykiwi on 04-15-2003 03:47 AM:

Nice video quality, nice audio quality, angle sucks.

Personally I can handle it but my wife and kids are starting to skip the movies with the bad angle.

Looks like I'm gonna have to start skipping the Centropy releases or only watch em myself.

If the choice is bad picture quality against bad angle, I'll go for bad picture quality.

Posted by temp0 on 04-15-2003 03:57 AM:

You see? All the smart people, everyone who isn't a shameless CTP kiddie, is bitching about the angle, and rightly so.

Just because they have a monopoly on the SVCD TS releases means that they can release COMPLETE, UTTER SHIT and think that no one cares? Cams are much more watchable than this garbage.

And if all you have to say in response is "well, it's free, you shouldn't complain," I don't even want to get started on that argument.

1/7/2

And the thing that kills me is that they were SO CLOSE. Cody Banks might as well have been a DVDSCR without the tint. They were so close to perfecting their techniques, then this angle shit start up. It's like they're playing with us.

Aight, heres my 2 cents. I admit that the last CTP releases that contained this angel was annoying and totally fucked up the movie. But did u people actually see anything besides the JPG (for this movie). The video angle does not ruin it every now and than the chins will get stretched out and its not a bother. The colors are there, and pretty much like a 8 the sound is fine and nice, and it was a funny, and good movie. I suggest you look for yourself. 8/8/9. Flame all yu want.

Posted by Phlag on 04-15-2003 04:13 AM:

Based only on the sample, this release doesn't seem to have an angle worse than most of the other CTP releases. Hopefully all this backlash will encourage CTP to straighten things out.
6/7/X

That's the same thing a bunch of you guys said about View From The Top and like the dumbass I am, I actually listened to you guys because I thought these reviews would help. But ya know what, yea maybe some pervs were happy about gweneth's boobies lookin bigger on the screen but my eyes were sore from watching everyone look like neanderthals with huge chins, etc. I hate the jay leno filter and I'd dl a subpar videocd/esoteric crap version with a good angle before I touch another colorful ctp release with bad angle. Hell, maybe I'll just demux the audio from CTP ts's and mux them with other groups' stuff. Then maybe I can get a decent copy, btw CTP... please skip phone booth! I liked that movie alot and knowing your "release even if their is a better version" policy, yall will just fuck it up. Another thing is that the majority of posters here are group members or members of rival groups and yall can keep talkin trash about each other on the forums but your crappy releases speak for themselves.

CTP Version: 4/8/6
VideoCD Version: 5/6/6

and the group that releases the DVDRip later on: 9/10/6

lol. i agree to the lackluster-ness of this release, pretty shit. im sure the scr will come within the next little while so im gonna wait.

but in the meanwhile ill give this a 5/6/6

Greeting TO CTP for many good quality releases, but pls fix your angle a bit..makes people Fat and faces stretched..

wacthed both full movie releases: Videocd and ctp=
I prefer VideoCD picture with CTP sound

SOund is good ,and quality is nice, angle bad!

5/8/6

Posted by MovieDownloader on 04-15-2003 12:26 PM:

Well, all I have to say is you only have yourselfs to blame for the angle. CTP had a blue tint to the picture which was getting them straight on with the screen and you all moaned. So of course they moved closer to get a cleaner image which resulted in this angle. Now you all moan again.

Please make up your minds what you want, angle or blue tint.

Posted by Mystic Slippers on 04-15-2003 01:28 PM:

I like the fact that everyone complained to hell at those shitty fisheye silvers released recently, yet recent CTP releases have image distortion too and hardly anyone complains.

I call that gay.

CTP are a fine release group, got themselves one great source and pull some real gems out with high consistency. But please, don't praise when high praise is not due. It just makes you look stupid.

Posted by Senic on 04-15-2003 10:09 PM:

Conclusion is that its a wasted release(s) with good picture quality and sound. CTP needs to make an effort and fix the angle.

Posted by vcdkrew on 04-16-2003 03:56 AM:

in my opinion the videocd one is good, but definitely not better than this one. yes, i did download and burn both of the versions and theyre both good, but centropys is cleaner. look at the dull colors of videocds and the blueish tint and compare it to the cleaness of centropys. obviously there is a huge difference. about the angle yes, it is annoying at times but it can be ignored, it does not take away from the movie. all together this is a very solid release.

video: 8 it is not centropys best, but it is very clear/clean.
audio: 7 it sounds like it has to much bass/treble but doesnt ruin the movie.
movie: ? have not finished it yet.

Posted by frak on 04-16-2003 09:47 AM:

The angle in this one is absolutely horrid. I stopped watching disc 1 after about 15 minutes.

I'm gonna go track down the VideoCD release.

Tears of the Sun was bad, but watchable, The Hunted - watchable. This is just over the top.

CTP needs to get their shit together. It used to be "blue tint" in every release, which wasn't bad, annoying but livable.

Now they've got the video down damn good and audio but the angle blows in every release and a very easy thing to fix. MOVE.

wtf ...

y would u do that ? y not just wait for a proper!

horrid angle - 5
nice sound - 8.5
N/A - bout to watch VideoCD's rls

Posted by zoul on 04-17-2003 03:19 AM:

not bad .. but vcdc gets my vote

i compared ctp's sample with vcdc's copy ... the same scene ... and vcdc wins my vote ...

granted, vcdc's a bit darker and has a blueish tint ... but the angle ...

adam sandler isn't supposed to look like the pillsburry dough boy ...

ctp has, and always will have, all my respect ... along with vcdc ... both great groups ...

Posted by jim-211 on 04-18-2003 09:07 AM:

excellent quality. 8/9/8

I would much rather have the colours than the tint or the darkness of other groups.

Great movie
Motion blur still there but that wont stop me from watching again and the audio is great! awesome colors, angle isnt to noticable unlike the core and tears of the sun. Overall, id get this over the videocd release simply because of the clean colors and just right brightness/contrast.

I agree, I've watched both, and Centropy's is better than VideoCD's. VideoCD's dark and bluish is much more horrible than Centropy's clean colorful despite bad angle version. I don't see how people hate the angle so much. Don't you hate dark blue more?? Geesh.

Angry Anger Management *SVCD* - TELESYNC - Centropy

What has happened to CTP? Their releases are of the highest possible quality I think you can get with a camera. But somewhere about two months ago or something they started sitting in what looks to be the front row. Or close to it. The picture shapes are allways pyramid now and it makes the whole release look rediculous. I refuse to watch any more of their stuff until they stop doing that.

For now, if it says ctp on it then it is an instant nuke on my servers.

It's a shame, they have always been the best.

Had to put in my disgust about this. Sorry if it offends anyone.
