CD3

no probs here, just binned uti's rls and got videoCD rls, cd3 fine
718mb, 2 incomplete RAR files but soon fixed with PAR.

8/10/8

quality.

Video has a 'fuzz' over it kind of like when you crank the color up to much on a TV ..also the contrast blooms in bright scenes (typical telesync stuff), Audio is very nice tho. Saw this one in the theater yesterday its a good movie, liked it better than the first two.

The sides of the video are cut off pretty noticably(AR issue?),at least on the left side (especially being i just saw it in the theater),for example when watching the first scene with harry practicing a spell in bed, whenever he'd lay down to act like he was sleeping you should be able to see his head, but its cut off. Also in the scene when the maid knocks on the door and says "Housekeeping!" ,you should see a 'magic' broom thats sweeping by itself behind her but its cut off as well.

just watched this on the TV.

Video: 8
Audio: 8.5
Movie: 7

videoCD is the best group out there right now. keep up the
good work guys.

snozzler 29.... of course you could also crop the overlapping video so's not to have repeating when you join cd1,2,3. A bit pedantic but it annoys me when I see 3 cd's merged without cropping.

Wow is VideoCD the only group that can do a quality SVCD TS... this is a WORTHY proper of this Box office Hit.. Pic is a lil Dark, but hey so is the movie.. The sound is Waay better than previous rls's. Props to VideoCD for continuing to put out the very best in SVCD TS

best release ive seen of this yet worth the download, put to dvdr and played on stanalone no problem

Posted by muhali3 on 06-10-2004 09:29 PM:

Much better than UTI's release. Alot more color and sharpness, and lacks dct blocks. Only downside is the green noise/graininess, but that can be fixed with TMPGenc or Avisynth. I'm gonna hold on to this until a DVDScreener is released.

Oh yeah, does anyone elses CD3 of this release end with Harry and a bunch of other people in the courtyard, because he's supposed to be flying on his new broomstick?

same here pitty as it would have been nice to have at least part of the credits then at least you know that they are the credits as harry seems to stop mid sentence as the disc stops

As for the picture it self i have seen a lot better from videoCD and i have taken in to account that they them selves have stated as much in there NFO. but watchable on a stand alone (it actuly looks better on the kids cheap nasty DVD player then my Technics one )

there is a slight angle problem with it dispite what others have siad trust me its there but it is slight and you only notice it in a few scenes.

the audio for a TS was not the best and again we have seen better From VideoCD

But apart from that its not bad defenatly a worth getting untill somthing better takes its place.

Rating: pic - 7.5 /Audio - 7.5 /Movie - 5 (potter just don't do it for me Van Helsing much better

OK, from sample 8/8/?

I only say from sample because everytime I dl this, from any channel, It says I got the whole 2.16 GB of it. Then I open in Winrar and I get corrupted file errors, then only CD1 is accessable dispite the two gigs of info in the file, plus, I can't even get cd1 full files to extract. What the hell is going on. I've gotten the same file from many channels, is the 1.5 GB version I've been seeing labeled as a VideoCD the one I need. Please Help.

i also noticed AR, more pronounced on ALBA Dvd player (£30) than my meridian 800.3 (£5000+) weird!!

yeah credits wud b nice, and def not up to VideoCD usual standards, nut at least it the most watchable out of the rls's

Posted by K-FurY on 06-12-2004 12:05 AM:

watched this today finally, video is abit grainy and dark, and also cropped quite some. some scenes people would be talking to one another and all you could see was the tip of their noses. video was overall good though. sound, nothing needs to be said, perfect as usual. ending is partly cut off as usual, what the fuck is so hard about letting the camera role another 10 seconds and letting people have the satisfaction of knowing the movie is done, and not worrying about if the ending is missing??? everytime i watch a videocd release, i have to come here and make sure i just saw the whole movie, annoying as hell.

all depends on where cam was done, in some cinema the house light come up as credits start therefore, you certainly aint gonna hang around! but, yes, credits would be good, if possible!esp on something like HP2 i think where there is more movie after the creds.

Good video (no flicker, a little glair), excellent audio (no hiss or buzz, very clear sound), not a huge fan of the films, but it was the best of the three.

great release.
