True, now it makes sense. If i take a plain audio tape and copy a 5.1 digital disc audio track i will have 5.1 digital on the tape. It will play back as 5.1 too on my stereo system. Makes perfect sense to me now, thanks.

A fairly retarded comment. Clearly you can't understand that the audio source is from a DTS DISC, and therefore should be labelled as such, whether it's 5.1, 6.1 or simply encoded to 2 channel sound. It is from a different source to the jack in the seat, for example. Also despite your attempt at irony/sarcasm, you clearly also have difficulty understanding the difference between analogue and digital.

6/8/7

Video is not too bad for a TS release, audio is good but not great. The movie, egh, well its a sci-fi independence day..

I don't give a fuck what you think.

Watched this last night. I expected it to be shit but was pleasantly suprised. Not an awesome movie, but good enough to keep you interested. This release is let down by fairly crappy video, it's washed out, blurry and (as mentioned earlier) there's the bloke with the baseball cap and some slut with an afro gettin' in the way.

The audio also loses sync for 10mins on CD1, but otherwise the sound is perfect, although quiet.

Overall: 5/9/8

Thank you for clearing that up for me as it was obvious i didn't understand. Thanks again, you are noble. So tell me, is the sound still DTS or is it MP2 stereo once it's converted?

Thumbs up

was a very nice rls 6/7/7 I would have given you guys a better score if the jerk in front of you didn't get up 4 times while your cam man was filming it!

man people are just itchin to find a way to nuke POT, if you cant find a reason make one up! (like some people we're dumb and nuked Sleepover for no bin/cue when it did have it), anyway rumor going around that POT's internal is missing the ending. Like i said on 100000 other threads its next to impossible to sync dts on an incomplete movie. (i have encoded along time and have in past to make a better copy of two movies). POT's copy here is same as their VCD TS ... its not only complete but archives all the way to the credits. So whoever nukes it slap them around a bit and tell them wait untill next POT pre to try and nuke them

No it's bloody well not. I just watched the entire thing this afternoon.

1. The movie surprised me in that it's actually rather good!

2. The video quality is great. Bit dark, but not so dark you can't see anything.

3. The whole movie is there. The rls cut's off after the first name of the credits is displayed.

So there. Quit crying.

seriously m$, how are you rating the video so high ?? its cropeed quite a bit, green to fuck and generally pretty shit for a silver, SVCD, TS.

I personally still think that the FRA repack was far superior in quality, and if like me you rip the audio from the pot rls and mux with the FRA video, you have a half decent rls.

I`d also like to say Hi to my mum, and suck my balls to the 99% of the twats on here.

Mystic, why is it that all the nay-sayers are newbies? Anyone who rates this rls lower than a 7/10/x is a fucking groupie. Go suck on your favorite groups nuts some more, POT did an excellent job with this one.

Anyway, this rls is great. The sound is perfect, colors are just fine, only thing that keeps it from being perfect is the very very slight flicker in brightness, but it's hardly noticable, blurry, but what do you expect? A Screener or DVD-rip?

All in all 9/10/8.5

Movie wasnt bad at all, but had a few shortcomings. Great flick though.

Grainy with green tint and slight blur. This release was BAD.

Video 3.5
Audio 7
Movie 8.5

this looks much better than the proper ts but still has ways to go before being as good as videocd. I mean I really miss those guys. SO far their garfield, the terminal, dodgeball and white chicks have been their best ts's and right now pot does not stand a chance but they are getting better. Keep improving, hopefully you can then be the solution to videocd

hey bravo,
did you know (s)\vcd's can totally be authored with DTS audio? you blithering idiot. obviousely it is encoded to mp2. nevertheless, it will be infinitely better than another means of direct audio, i.e. the aforementioned headphone jack.

and on another note, pot rules because they are NTSC god damnit!! and i dont have to re-enc to author DVDR.

8/9/9

awesome release

Posted by PsychoPostalW on 07-20-2004 02:18 AM:

Video - green,grainy,god-awful
Rate it a 4(and I'm being generous)

Audio - superb
Rate it a 10(don't see how the sound can get any better)

Movie - a joke....hasn't "The Matrix" been re-hashed enough already.Hollywood needs some new script writers....BADLY.
Rate it a 2(please get some ideas for films)

Considering I, Robot was written about 900 zillion years BEFORE The Matrix, someone needs to get their bold statements right.
