(edit: Scratch that, just noticed that the reason shows up if you mouseover the nuke icon.)

I have tried playing this to no avail. I have installed almost every codec known to man. Windows Media Player classic and Power dvd 6 do not play this movie, video just shows up garbled. What codec do I need or is there something else im missing?

All you need to play mpeg2 (SVCD) is an mpeg2 decoder- if you have a dvd-rom drive or dvd player software you should be okay. If not, most of the alternative media players like VLC or Media Player Classic or BSplayer come with a decoder built-in.

Xvid and DivX are mpeg-4 codecs- they don't have anything to do with mpeg-1 (vcd) or mpeg-2 (dvd, svcd)

I thought the audio and video were great. I adjusted down the bitrate with DVDPatcher, burned it to CDR's and watched it on my standalone with no problems. Thanks TheFly for another great job. However, IMO the movie itself left a little to be desired ( I thought it was crap ) but to each their own. Anyway the release was nice work.

9/9/6.5

Wow.... Just wow...

I ignored the nuke and downloaded and boy was I glad.

What a great movie. I'm so glad to see that Bill Murray is getting some great roles. It sounds bad but this is probably the best movie i've seen since Lost In Translation (Another Murray film).

Video - 9 - Seemed like the colors were a TOUCH off but I'm being REALLY nit picky on this. Great release. I did notice that there were about 3 times that it skipped. Again, might have been a me issue. No blurring, no pixelation, no blockiness, all in all just great quality. There is a watermark present but if you get into the movie it's really invisible.

Audio - 10 - As can be expected the audio was great. No complaints at all. Fine job on the audio guys

Movie - 10 - The movie started off a bit slow and was only about an 8 for 99% of the movie but the ending really clinched those final 2 points to make this an all out 10. Great acting by everyone and a truely great story.

Overall - 9/10/10

great rls despite the microblocking, anal perfectionists might differ. the xvid has less artifacting, especially with flat colors like the walls in the hallway in the first scene (n00b translation: the xvid is less blocky)

video - 7 - great colors, but microblock city

audio - 10 - perfect

movie - ?

Nice Release by TheFly but what a waste of talent and time...One of the worst films of the year.

9/9/2

The problem with this release is that there are still footprints from the original source, which bothers me a bit when I watch on my TV
