They don't get paid. Being a part of an established group does have its advantages, but not in the form of money.

Rafo [RAS]: If you can get movies early (good quality, screeners, early retail dvd, etc) apply to on of the groups. I would recommend TCF as they are doing amazing lately. Most groups have an email to contact them in their nfo's. They won't pay you, but you will get leech access on amazingly good sites (100+ mbit, 1+ terrabyte). Your upload connection wouldn't matter, if you can get them early. I'm sure they will make it worth your time.
