-- Saw 2 *XViD* - TELESYNC - maVen (http://forum.vcdq.com/showthread.php?threadid=66982)
Definately a Cam not a TS. Can hear coughing in places. Anyhow it doesn't really matter as i am a great fan of Maven for excellent quality of releases. They always get it right. I am also in favor of them of just releasing xvids, makes total sense to me. Smaller file, saves bandwidth. Encoding is straightforward, its at least you can do since Maven has done all the hardwork, and as pointed out already xvid playable players are widely available and cheap. Thanks again Maven for a fantastic and quick release .
As for film, much prefered first one, as the ending was the best i seen in a long time in a film. With Saw ii you dont really get the excellent twist in the ending as in Saw i. But was enjoyable anyways.
Now for ratings
V - 8 TS or not its still very good
A - 6 A bit disappointed, hollow in places. (Maven have released much better quality in the past) But heck i aint gonna knocked them cos of the effort they go through for us
M - 6 Saw i had a much better ending.
Once again thanks for a top release Maven
nice release maven xvid is the way to go.
standalone players made by phillips are $80 US at Kmart.
not a bad release but not Mavens best
7, 9, 8
Whats all the fuss about what format its in? I don't care if its Xvid/Divx VCD SVCD DVD WMV etc.. I'm happy with a high quality release thats watchable(new word) and FREE. Buy a freakin player that plays everthing. The time and energy you spent learning how to convert every format to DVD standalone could have easily been spent sellin girl scout cookies to come up with the measly 60 bucks for a decent player. Stop bitchin so damn much. Some of you think that the people who release this films actually give a shit what you think. Appreciate the fact that you are benefiting (For Free) from the hard work of others much more talented and motivated than yourself and you have the privledge to comment and discuss the quality of their releases on this forum.
V= 8
A= 7
M= 7 a lot better than expected
i have not seen the video yet, but all I want to say is how the fuck do you people get the idea this is free for anyone? You got to pay for your online internet service to get here to read the comments, then you need to have your internet service to downlaod the damn movie. Unless someone has 100% free internet service and then get this movie, there is no way in reality this is free. And if it is so damn much trouble to convert the file then watch it on your pc, stop the damn bitching and give some comments on the video it's self. No one comes to these reviews for bitching about conversions, they want to know about the video's quality.

I am forever.
I just used Nerovision Express to convert this Xvid to DVD...Only noticed the audio was a little hot and some small popping in the sound because of it...
Xvid's are better than SVCD for the simple reason is that xvid is mp4 written code while SVCD are less quality mpeg2...Technically, you're down-coding an xvid to mpeg then creating vob files for DVD compliance...
You people bitching about standalone or not are just too lazy or stupid to know how to keep the audio in sync or what???
Video 9.0...No real problems, just a little dark...
Audio 6.5...Popping after conversion but the original is fine if you're gonna watch on the PC or a standalone...
Movie 7.0...Trippy Stuff!
could use a custom made subtitle file for this one.... got any?
version (ts rating)
v9
a7
m?
Nice, somebody is finally starting to make XviD-TS
TS-Rating:
Video: 8
Audio: 6 (sounded a bit echoic to me)
Movie: 7 (nice, but almost the same as part 1)
Agree 100% with maVen to ditch SVCD/VCD. For too long now SVCD has been the standard format for most releases, problem is it only works well if you have a 4:3 TV set, and I don't know many people at all that still have 4:3 sets. Sure they are ok on the pc, but then you would just use XviD anyway. As I recode all the movies to DVDR anyway it matters little to me, but I guess it is still better quality.
Anyway,
for a TS.
video: 8 - nice and clear
sound: 7 - a little "hollow" sounding, sounds like they had a very hissy source and had to filter heavily
movie: havnt seen, might later
Good release, sound was a bit naff in places but still good.
Video: 7 (bit blurry in places).
Audio: 6 (bit CAM-ish in places).
Movie: 6
Everyone talking about converting xvid to dvd needs to invest in a modded xbox. Its like $150 for the xbox and modding it is simple as hell now. Then you just hook the xbox up to your network and stream all of your downloads through it onto your tv.
Loved this release except for the audio. It need to be nuked for being a cam tho. Im serious guys, its a cam. Take a look at the last few seconds where it goes silent.
V=9 -- amazing for a telesync
A=5 -- as a telesync (which its a cam)
M=8 -- pretty good, lacked the view and direction of 1st.
Our Kitty and me good self reckon this is the cult movie thing for the fiture. maVen get it sorted again, filter etc etc etc
V:9 for a cam source this is really well cleaned up. The mirky atmosphere took the gory edge off it for her.
A:8 ermmm shes heard worse. For me I gave it a 5 the jury is still out on it being direct
M:10 SAW RULED BEFORE THIS RULED. A worthy sequel. Play the game!
Hmmm... just heard the whole thing. Occasional pops get annoying after a while, but about coughing, well if the idea is that the gas that is pumped into the rooms makes them cough up blood (dont think thats a spoiler as it is pretty clear all the way through) I am pretty sure then the coughing is actually part of the film.
Just watched the first and second ones. Both movies where very, evry strong. This one more gory than the first, but not to the extent it makes the movie hard to watch. Defiinatly more thriller than horror.

v - 7 (a little bit dark, even though i know the movie is dark)
a - 8 (clear, but not clear enough)
m - 7 not that good, ending was okay i guess
saw 2 xvid telesync maven
quality is ok, evrybody is rating this as a dam dvd screener.
video is a bit dark, audio is not direct, hollow. you can hear someone caughing at times during the movie. audio bothered me the most. video is a TS not a DVDSCR rate as what it is, when the screener does come out everyone will rate it the same or lower.
rating system doesnt seem to work around here.
V:6
A:4
M:8
rated as a TS.

i watched this movie last night,i am sorry to slag off something that is free,and that has taken up someones valuable time to produce,but the quality is rubbish,the video is almost a total wash out,and the audio is so mummbled you need to concentrate so hard it makes your brain hurt.are people giving 9's just because its maven,if so stop lying to yourself's and the rest of us 5/4/8
DIVX is by far the best format
Why are people so confused about DIVX and playing in there players...if you use Nero Vision it converts to a TS folder in about 1.2-1.5 hours...and its done...burn to a dvd and it will play on any player new or old...if all these wankers would realize the smaller download files required everyone would post in this format..which is about 98% of what I go after these days. Excuse the rant but I was reading some of these posts and had to say something.

Conerning the burning to DVD To watch on a player:
A suggestion, it is ALOT better to grab a Xvid / DivX capable, you can chuck about 6 700mb XviD movies on the DVD as a data file, and just select what you want to play. Forget encoding
