Video - 8.5 - Superb quality - only suffering from the stupid woman who walks out and back into the shot for a second

Audio - 8 - 1 point off for the concession stand announcement and another for the reversed channels - but excellent quality otherwise. No out of sync issues at all and I've watched it on both VLC and WMP. (the entire movie twice)

Movie - 8 - Humour in true Pixar style ... lots of stuff for the kiddies, with some funny adult jokes thrown in too. Enjoyed it quite a bit although thought some parts dragged on a bit longer than they needed to. Visuals were outstanding!

It was great that Maven included the short film at the start, but it would have been great if they had gotten the skits that Pixar always put into the ending credits too - they do 'car' versions of Toy Story (Toy Car Story) and Monsters Inc (Monster Trucks Inc).

This release is back to the Maven quality we have come to love. Keep up the great work guys - your efforts are greatly appreciated by the community.

maVen, good on ya matez. U da mun.

Your unreleased copy must be perfect if this is the quality level you shared. Yes, I've noticed (suspect) you hold back the perfect quality from the scene. Why else would you have reversed audio channels, sync issues, less than perfect encoding etc..? Once you know the proper settings for encoding its just clicking the ENCODE button. How can someone mess that up? They don't. They choose to. Whatever the reason, it doesn't matter... the bottom line is: THANKS FOR DOING WHAT YOU DO maVen

Yes, your Cars release is close enough to perfect to be considered top notch. Very watchable and enjoyable. Thanks

A8

wasn't the best of animations i have seen but still worth a watch

Fast release and great quality, one of the best looking TS to come out in awhile, and the audio was spot on even with the annoucement lol. Other than a few heads popping up ever once in awhile, the video looked great on my 65" Mitsubishi.

V-9
A-9 Worked great with CSII came out as 5.1 surround. Excellent.
M-9 Pixar does another great job, and movies like these for the whole family are the best. 4 y.o. sat and watch the whole thing, which is saying something lol!

V: 9 (maVen quality)
A: 7 (more than ok)
M: 8 (Pixar quality)

It's good to see Maven releases a movie like Cars.. on the first try we get a great quality release otherwise we'd already had 12 or 13 repack-proper-real-proper-final-proper-repack... from random groups.

Great video, good audio but reversed stereo (Used VLC to fix), great flick.

I thought the concession stand audio was fucking hilarious and I am glad they left it in. It .. was .. funnier than the whole movie. Great Job all around a big fxck you to all the bashers.

9/9/4

I love Pixar flicks. I especially enjoyed the Pixar short in the beginning: "One Man Band."
Also, when the twins flashed their "headlights" at Lightning McQueen was hilarious.

Thanks maVen.

P.S. No audio sync issues here. Using MPC and ffdshow to get that video looking tip-top.

M - 9

Really can't fault this, top quality.

V - 9 (Best you can get with a cam. Little washed in bright scenes but nearly flawless, 3 twat moments during the movies 2nd disc)

A - 6.5 (Gets a tad bit of distortion near the end in the music, Lobby announcement on 2nd disc, reversed stereo, but really really sounds good otherwise)

M - 10 (Have to give it to Pixar they did it yet again. And this is one of the movies that they could easily make a sequel to without shitting all over the first movie.)

I've watched this twice now and will try to make it to the theatre to show my support. I want to really see the end credit segments as well. It's really up there with the rest of the Pixar films. Gives a good sense of nostalgic Americana in the movie. Most of the background in the desert is comprised of car hoods with ornaments. Also the one formation in town is a old-stlye gas cap. Loved it.

maVen strikes again!

v 10 (this is as good as a ts gets, i cant remember a better ts than this, better than the russian "telecines". nice colors, usual dust marks etc from cinema reel, a good old fashioned ts )

a 9 (very good compared to direct audio of late, slight distortion on louder scenes and a very very slight hiss, and hilarious concession stand announcement, overall decent)

m ? (havent watched yet, but looks good, i like pixar films)

i know people always say "stop sucking maVen's dick" but seriously, they do make the best cammed releases out there, so they deserve our praise

encoding software is the equivalent of The 404 going on a diet and walking thru the door. takes longer and sometimes more skill, but ultimately worth it.

maVen as always rules. AS for Sync issues at 28:49 on CD2 I played with Nero Showtime and never had a issue through the entire movie and I use crappy k-lite codecs. So whoever was talking about that is sadly mistaken
V=10 (dont care if 10's are a no no this is the best TS I have ever scene)
A=9 Very Slight hiss and audio channels reversed but nothing that will affect negitivly on the movie experience
M=9 Nice best sience Shriek

I thougth I was seeing a dvd rip! resolution is higher than
dvd rips, 704 x320. If only all releases were like these...

These maven guys sure know what they´re doing.

state of the art CAM, forget those flammers that really
don´t know what they´re seeing or talking about.

No sync issues that I´ve noticed, it was a perfect viewing
experience, with the common random heads. comment was
very funny, it did add a "theather experience."

reversed sound?so what? this is the best CAM I´ve ever seen.
