i think the dvd rip will have subtitles when the aliens speak like they did at the movies*pdvd*?

Posted by nokia on 09-02-2002 12:47 PM:

Smile none

Most retail dvd's do not contain hardcoded subtitles so I'm assuming that the subtitles for the alien language was thrown in with the softcoded movie subtitles. This happens with alot of films when they are released on dvd.

If you use isonews to dupecheck, at least bother to read the nfo.

Posters can make mistakes you know.

2 Cents....

Just finish watching. TCF has really done some great stuff! Excellent video/audio, what do you expect from a DVD source.

I don't know if anyone noticed but they used DVD2SVCD for this rip. Which is strange because DVD2SVCD is the easiest program in the world to include subtitle tracks. Not many DVD's use subtitle tracks, they are usually just incorporated into the video, but there are exceptions like Star Wars 1 & 2 and Red Dawn. Just glad that are not alot of subs in the orginal, not compared to a movie like Red Dawn. One last thing, the two second audio crackle in the begining of Disc 2 which is a common problem with DVD2SVCD.

Well done TCF! Time to finally retire that *** copy!

a few comments

First i would like to thank TCF For a great release, the Audio is execelent and the video is as perfect. you never let us down !

I was looking @ the video and noticed something that i am sure others have also... well if you notice the Widescreen boarders (on the top and bottom, the black boarders) well they appear double what they should be.. maybe a little bigger?

so because the boarders are bigger then normal.. the picture is smaller then normal.

has anybody else noticed this? Is this a reason to release a proper, or was it ment to be like that ?

-realized

From what I've noticed, ESOTERiC only does silver TS and Limited Screeners not homebrewn TS's. From the sound of their .nfo I think they might be pulling a *** with homemade telesyncs.

This is a common issue noticeable only on some monitors/tv's and certain standalones with 2:35:1 SVCD's. Groups don't often crop the black bars from 2:35:1 svcd during the encode because you're going to have to add black bars anyways, with divx you'll need to or it'll look horrible. Anyways, you're probably confused at what I'm trying to say but my point is that it doesn't require a proper unless you're gonna proper a shitload of other 2:35:1 SVCD's out there.

Star Wars was filmed in that aspect ratio, its a cinema film, best enjoyed at the cinema, you could make the borders smaller by stretching the picture, which would suit people with widescreen TV's, but look weird for 4:3 people, but even people with widescreen TV's still have to have borders, just not as big.

No need for a proper,as good a SVCD of this as your gonna get, apart from the little subtitle mishap.

So tell me which is the other release?
If you keep claiming they did more than one TS.

moron.

Is there a way to add a sub channel for that small 45 sec gap to run by time index seperately from the mpeg2 file?? Some way to add to bin file with WinIso rather than recode the mpeg2 file??

Can you read "moron"? We already told you MIIB TS SVCD, which I did have at one point, but it had some horrible audio glitches.

Oh , maybe that one didn't show up on Isonews.com or here for you (think it might have been an "internal") so you didn't know about it with your lame access. Get lost!

Well, if you are even remotely connected to the scene, you would know they did NOT release MIB2 TS. It was leaked and INTERNAL u stupid fuck.
We are talking about what a group actually releases.

And if you are remotely connected to the scene, you would know ESOTERiC was created by TCF so that they do not release Telesyncs or Limited movies through the main label.
