aud 4
mov ?

audio is too annoying

no prob hearing speaking parts.
however its those other more graphical parts of the film that get ruined by clouds of toxic and white noise.

You've done some amazingly retarded stuff on here in the past Arthur but that is comedy gold, thanks

I haven't watched the movie yet but I'm not sure what some of you folks are watching but I'm damned certain this is a TC not a DVDSCR. Sure, it's a fantastic TC, one of the best... but it's a TC, not a DVDSCR

Some of you seem really defensive just because somebody points out that you're mistaken and the group has mislabelled it. It doesn't prevent it from being an excellent copy of the movie and in all fairness I'd respect Neptune more for "Calling a spade a spade" instead of tagging it incorrectly. Does it pass as a DVDSCR? Not really, the definition isn't good enough, if it was an actual DVDSCR it would be a poor one but as it stands it's an awesome TC... Live with it!

Oh and for a DVD screener the audio would be a bit gash as well.

V - 6/10 (if DVDSCR) or 9/10 (for TC)
A - 5/10 (if DVDSCR) or 7/10 (for TC)
M - Dunno

ITS A TC !!!!!!!!

For Feck sake, ok so i had a mark on my screen
and a moment of Retardedness but the Fact remains

ITS A TC aka Telecine,
Not and i repeat not a DVDscr.

Basically you call a TC a TC if its a TC
or a Cam a Cam, When? When its a cam.

You don't call the dude in the post office Bob because he looks like you uncle bob.
If his name is Fred, then call him Fred.

OK, back on my meds now.....

Here's the Definitive proof that this is a TC
anyone still in any denial or don't know what a Telecine is and to embarrassed to ask..
Google it.

Here's the Last frame, Don't believe? check it yourself...

Screen grab of last frame
(opens a .bmp picture i uploaded to Photo bucket)

Video: 9 nice and clear
Audio: 7 hard to hear speaking but still good
Movie: Was killed by the hype so-so except the fighting which owned so a 7.5

I have just watched this one and I would give it at the very least a 9/10 on all points, not sure if any of those that are flaming it have actually watched the movie, but the sound is great, the picture is great and the movie, brilliant!!!
I have read a few various remarks and I am sure you must all be watching a different version as for any lines on it, couldn't see anything that distracted me from the film. I convered with DivxtoDVD and no probs at all

V: 9.5 A:8.5 M:10 <<---Watched it TWICE!

This is a High Quality TC. The machine this was captured on was of the highest quality.

With that said, the audio codec used is a little funky causing people to have clipping and popping problems when the audio peaks about -6Db.

Go install the most recent AC3filter and set the down mix settings to stereo and turn the audio down manually.

After that I encoded this to a DVD and it looks wonderful.

I watched this movie and I could care less who released it or if it's a TC or DVD screener. Most of you are picky little shit's. 10's all around.

::MOD EDIT:: You miss the point we're making... The quality IS excellent but mislabelling the release prevents any groups from releasing a DVDSCR as it would be nuked as a dupe - although they can "proper" this release. Why not release this as a TC in the first place cos it's a damned impressive one!? - Neversoft::

Posted by matt159 on 03-23-2007 12:09 AM:

goto videohelp.com and get ac3filter and follow these steps to sort out the sound
NOW to configure.
1 Go into ac3filters configure (click start menu tards and find ac3filter, under there is something called ac3filter config DUH!!)
2 slide the master and gain sliders under the main, and mixer tabs to about 3/4 full
3 goto to the mixer tab and tick ALL THE CHECK BOXES under where it says options EXCEPT FOR THE BASS REDIR one, UNTICK THAT ONE
4 next to the options selection is a output selection, from those drop down boxes choose 2/0 Stereo and below that choose PCM 16bit
5 under the system tab check ALL the boxes under use ac3filter for, and all the boxes under SPDIF passthrough, LEAVE the check boxes under the SPDIF OPTIONS set to there defaults
6 Where it says filter merit select prefer AC3filter
7 Where it says Default audio render choose Use direct sound as default audio render
8 return to the main tab and where it says output select 2/0 stereo and in the other pulldown box choose PCM 16bit...

Convert it to a DVD!!!

Audio is sketchy as hell until you convert it to a DVD!
I didn't need to install any new codecs, and play with the volume or anything - just joined the two parts and converted it using DivxtoDvd.

The audio is then absolutely fine - really crisp and clear with absolutely no drop-outs/clips/pops
V=10
A=10
M= will watch later!

Still waiting for a good enough release...

Picture has a slight blur, contrast is out of whack - so it has a washed-out look. Much closer to the true "golden-hued" cinema release. If this *was* a screener (which I doubt) it would have to be lifted off a VHS. Artifacts are visible in the dark areas of the screen - probably the encoding that's done that.

Audio is screwed. It should be nuked for its audio - seriously.

If you want to compare the quality, watch the trailer. Maybe ok for small screen if you don't have a problem with the audio but this is not one for big screens.

V = 8

A = 4

M = 9

The real DVD will be around soon enough and it'll be worth the wait.

Couldn't get any sound at all on WMP 11 so I downloaded & installed an ac3 codec (sorry can't remember which 1) which sorted it. Converted to Dvd using ConvertXtoDvd & came out almost perfect. Looks & sounds superb on my 32" Samsung LCD

Very high quality, especially since it came out so quickly.

V: 8.5 Great except for when fading to and from black, at those points it gets a little artifacted, nothing too bad though. I watched it with three other people and I was the only one to notice.
A: 8 It would be perfect but it was only stereo.
M: 8 Better than I thought it would be. I'm glad I waited for a quality release.
