this was an informative thread, on both sides, but really, no amount of arguement will budge anyone, Pits can attack, so can all types of dogs... In the US states have rights, if a state wants to ban the fuckers, they have the ability to under the constitution... PERIOD

I think it is rather sad that anyone could call for basically the extinction of any animal for any reason (that is what banning a breed in effect will do if enforced strictly)

I also think its rather sad that people can train dogs to be meaner than their animal instincts allow them to be. Dog fighters are assholes, plain and simple, but i think many if not most people get excitement out of seeing things fight... shit animal planet and other type shows have lions fighting and such, and to be honest, that is exciting, just as Im sure watching 2 pits go at it would be, assuming it was in nature and not a set up with the dogs being fed gun powder...

So all in all, they shouldnt be banned, I want to say there shouldnt be restrictions at all (there shouldnt be) but there are too many abusive fuckers out there who train the dogs to be vicious, and pits arent the only types.

I find that most the time when people say there should be restrictions on things, that the reason they say that is not because of the item in question, but because of the numbnuts who use that item inappropriately, and thats just sad...
