HOME AND AWAY actress Kate Ritchie is leaving the Aussie soap after 19 years playing Sally Fletcher.

She will enter the Guinness Book of Records as the longest serving actor in an Oz drama series - along with fellow original cast member Ray Meagher, who played Alf Stewart for 18 years.

Originally mentioned Scali Wag as a riff on the term "WAG", not as two separate words since they're not mentioned that way usually. Perhaps should have been Scalli but that's by the by.

So, pronunciation of Scali would be "Scarly" in usual European parlance. Scallywag is the official term. Nobody meant Scarliwag since the separation of the term Scali and Wag was only to define the term Wag separately. Therefore, Jingo and Ave were right.
