I watched this release last night, picture is nice, the sound has a hissing noise and it sounded like a street cleaner was outside taping it but its not at the ponit where u wont understand the dialogue, in fact all the dialogue sounded really good and clear and it was louder then the hissing, the first cd kinda seemed like it had a louder hissing then the 2nd cd but that might just be cuz I was used to it already, also a couple of sound pops but nothign major that will make u miss anything from the film, all in all a good release and the movie was actually better then the original manhunter it was based on, cuz the acting in this one was alot better, I also thought it was better then hanibal, but no where near the great silence of the lambs, but i doubt anything else by harris will be.
I give it a 8/6/8
8/7/9
I've been lurking these boards for a little while.. very entertaining. I felt I had to register to point something out about this movie. Then upon reaching the last page I realize that "Michael Mann" already did exactly what I was planning on doing. I now realize that some people really need to watch some good movies. To the people who rated this movie as x/x/10 ... go watch Manhunter.. then figure out that you cant rate this a 10 since the original would have to be rated at 27.5.
Other than that....
Video - 7 : the washed out look can be taken care of with overlay and brightness adjustment
Audio - 5: why don't groups filter audio? it really isnt much effort but its ok I can do it myself when I recode the movie
Movie - 6: decent story but nowhere near as psychologically good as Manhunter (the orignal movie adaptation of the book)
simply amazing.
great job filming in theatre.
awesome colours..
and a 1 week pre-release...

the audio is average... there is a loud hissing that could only be eliminated when i turned the treble all the way down
9/6/8
Good tight release, pic is a little washed out. Only a handful (4-5) slight sound glitches in the movie. The quality is about a 7 or so (if they color was better it would deff. be an 8).
7/6.5/8. Good movie. I have never seen any of the others, but I found it easy to familiarize myself with the Hanibal character (I know it's a prequal).
Well worth the download.

I enjoyed the movie and it was actually good quality but except for the ending and about 5 minutes of the beginning it was Manhunter. I knew the whole storyline because I actually liked Manhunter. Anthony Hopkins is a better Lector but Manhunter is still the better movie. On a side note Manhunter was aired on network TV as "Red Dragon : The Curse of Hannibal Lector"
5/4/? too much hiss too little colour, watchable, early but certainly not good quality. FTF isn't really about quality though is it.

This is FTF's best, I am by no means an FTF fan but this release is 10x better than their usual crap.. Its very smooth with no block noise, and clearer than usual. It does have a lack of good color.
Please do not encourage groups to filter and reencode, the more the source gets messed with, the more it'll get f*cked up..
8/7/9
watched it last night Amazed at the quality being an FTF, sounds not as bad as everyone makes it out to be. Hell Its Free!
p.s.
stop complaining bout one an another and just post bout the movie who cares to listen to grown men cry
7/7/6

im going to have to look into Manhunter

pretty good...
Im really surprised by this release. FTF did a good job on this one, the audio has a LIIIIITLE his but nothing big, i dont even think it affects the movie at all if you have it on TV. and Video isnt that bad either... just a little light, but i mean you can fix that on your tv by turning the contrast or brightness down...so
OVERALL 6/6/?, if all TS releases were like this i WOULD NOT complain, gj FTF!

If only the pic had a little more color and that annoying hissing sound was gone it would be a great release 6/5/9
Which can easily be done in TMPGEnc and Cool Edit
If you've never tried, give those programs a go...Cool Edit especially is great at removing the hiss from the audio.
damn great movie.
as for quality, its ok
Screener
I hear that were getting the print in work today... ill wait for the screener this week
I don't see the harm in filtering audio for group releases... if I can do it without losing quality I dont see how they can't. Also, to clear up, when I said reencode I wasnt talking about reencoding the vcd, I meant converting to divx|xvid.
can't you see
Does anybody else not realize that Satan_Hollow is the same damn person as that fuckin tuna smellin' mother fucker? He does the exact same shit, rates the groups for which he is the bitch high, and all others low. Same trend---same person. Nobody else is so fucking stupid.
This was a decent pre release. The sound occasionally pops and goes out for a few seconds, but only on the first cd. there is a loud hiss, but just turn up your volume and you can hear everything fine. I'll be happy when a better version comes out, but this was great to see without going to the theaters.
7/5/8
8/6/8
great pic .. best FTF rls yet .. and a PRE!!!
audio .. bad hiss but easily removed with Gold Wave and TMPEnc .. you'll have to figure it out
movie was very good
latah
good release i just d/l it last night and watched it although this hissing i say its pretty..7/5/7 (although it was the same as manhunter but still good..)
