It does look like you know your shit but to test your metal - is it possible to format a 8Gb M2 memory card so that the full allocation is visible? I have tried in vain and all i get is 4Gb available???

Are you getting 8GB visible on your PC and not when you insert it in the phone? Some phones can only access M2 cards up to 2 or 4GB, such as the Sony Ericsson K800i (like mine) - although it can at least use the 8GB, it misreports it. Others don't like em at all. Check your manual and check for firmware updates but you might never get it fully working.

If you're talking about the full 8GB not being visible from the PC, what are you formatting it as? Does it make a difference if you format it via your phone?

To reply I don't see the full allocation via my PC or the phone. I have tried 2 format variations standard using windows and one using DOS. I tried changing the format to NTFS but it seem to affect the way the phone handles the folder structure. So i changed back to FAT32 and a standard format only gives me the 4gb. That said i don't know how to format via the phone ( sony c902 ) any tips would be appreciated as its detracting me from my self relief.

On my SE K800i it's in the File Manager (then I think more>memory>format) or something to that effect. I'd check for you but my battery is fucked (about to buy a new one) and your phone is a year or two newer... If the PC is also misreporting it though, it may be the card itself.

but the real question is.....

how do i keep the girl from hijacking my vcdq and email accts?

by the way...
