-- Matrix Reloaded *SVCD* - TELESYNC - Centropy (http://forum.vcdq.com/showthread.php?threadid=19557)

Posted by CATBOX on 05-19-2003 02:01 PM:

@appleguru- A TS stands for Telesync. NOT Telecine. A Telecine is transferred from a telecine machine. A Telesync is a CAM that has a direct audio source. If it was just a straight CAM the audio would have been recorded from the camera mic. For more info go here:

Thanks for the great quality release Centropy. Have all 3 SVCDs, and it looks great on my High Def Widescreen!!!

Got sample, so based on it, this is an excellent release, on par with the latest centropy releases. This one is MUCH better than apm and anyone who disagrees is an idiot.

8/8/?

the muscito in the sound sucks, the angle too, but for the rest okay,
do you guys think there will be a better release soon?

7/6.5/9

This version is watchable (at last). Not too dark, picture is crisp. Encoding a bit blocky but not bad considering the SVCD format. In this edition I don't get lost in a muddy, shadowy mess durring the fight scenes unlike all the others. The audio is off quality-wise but that's not really a huge issue. I can't wait for a screener.

Beautiful Centropy. I like how that once VCDQuality changed the JPEGs the ratings began to rise...

Video=8.7, Typical CTP quality, nice for a darker movie such as this
Sound=9, Typical CTP, great sound
Movie=10, Best Movie Ever

its not that there is an angle, the lens they use on the camera!
They use iether fish eye or death cam, this makes the camera have a wider shot . So the sides are curved, this type of lens was used in some secnes in phonebooth and in all skatevideos!
i didnt notice any angle, just curved edges.

7/7/1000000000

wait for DVD SCR

A bit of an angle which is not very bothersome, sound is just excellent.

Great TS.

it does seem to be confined to a box shape hence not taking full use of the wide space.
when is a dvd scr likely?
8/6/?

Very nice sample, 8/8/? Haven't seen the film yet as I am twitching for the UK rls this wednesday Maybe after the movie!!
AND remember kids...Play the game to get the rest of the story! Seriously, There's a level in there that I played in ETM that is in the film! (well...the Reloaded teaser trailer!) - if you wanted to know, it's that "white"/lobby-esque scene, where there are 2 stairs comming down from either side, with statues at the bottom and it looks circular. Dunno what Neo and Morpheus are doing there but I guess I will see in the film!!
Nehow, great job CTP.

Thumbs up only OK

video is alright, definitely not deserving the 8.+ it's getting now... typical blue brightness, and too dark in some areas, but overall allright... looks good on the tv even in the fight scenes, not too many artifacts for the high motion scenes. audio is pretty good, only a little hallow in some places.. overall, pretty good. best out yet though- hands down. 7/7/8

have any of you seen the sample, there is clearly the trademark(!) centropy angle, almost half fish eye apart from that looks good, but definately a theatre movie!

haha. 3 discs instead of 2 is 50% more. lol

but anyway, my comment on this release is very late, but thats fine. i had watched the APM release earlier yesterday just a couple hours before this one was released. got home from work and burned all 3 discs of this release as well.

the sample looked great on my pc but i didnt have it maximized. on my standalone, sorry, im not flaming or anything, but this is not ctp's best work. its the best release out there yet, no doubt, but ctp's done slightly better with some previous releases.

angle? very very very slight. nothing im complaining about. even the APM release had a little worse of an angle i thought. i just think ctp's had better sharpness and colors for sure.

take the fish bowl out from in front of the camera, and turn down the 'suck' knob
the quality is okay, fine for a movie like daddy day care, or lizzy mcguire, but not quite good enough for a movie like this

ABSOLUTLEY RINSES APM CONGRATS CTP FOR THE ONLY WORTHWILE RLS SO FAR

Posted by ShinSplint on 05-19-2003 08:20 PM:

Now that I have seen the CTP sample I see the quality is better for sure. I think I will pull this one down too burn it and wait for a DVD screener down the road...

Thumbs up

Good release (as you all already have said :P)...

Good picture, 7, nice sound, 8, and the movie...well, hasn't seen the whole thing yet
