Not bad at all. Played great on my stand-alone, on a widescreen tv.

I think the pixely stuff is because Moore didn't always get source footage.

It's the best copy on the scene, and it's playable in a great many players, aswell as through DVD software on PC's. I've made comments about sheep-nuking before, and this, IMHO, is a prime example.

It's got good pic quality, excellent sound quality, and my concern is that anyone who wants to see this, and any other over-bitrate movie would be put off by the nuke and have distribution strangled.

IMHO, the rules for nuking are too tight. A warning about high bitrates and the consequences thereof would be a better way forwards on this site methinks.

Cheers,

Kefrif

I agree with you Kefrif. I think there are only 2 versions of Fahrenheit out there, this one and the POT cam (which isnt good at all).

I may be new to this stuff, but there really isn't all that much wrong with this. I don't think the high bitrate is causing too many problems. It shouldn't have been nuked.

Isn't nuking a Centropy release illegal in the lower 48 states. Played just fine in my DVD player anyways.

Sure Moore is telling one side but alot of what he has to say is right on. Ya I thought Columbine was better but 911 has some brilliant moments to.

The color seemed a little off but a solid telesync overall.

7-8-7

I understand why it was nuked, I normally convert TS or TC to MPEG first and it did have difficulty playing in Media Player and BS player, I had to open it through winDVD to play it properly, but once running it was fine.

Video is ok, gets too bright at parts and blurry at times: 7
Audio is good: 9
Film is a very good documentary, not as sharp as bowling for columbine, but definitley worthwhile seeing: 8

watched it using daemon tools and this copy is absolutelu fine.... the cue file seems fucked... worth probably extracting mpg and reburning with nero yourself.... trying to burn using straight bin file as is will cause you problems... have phun.... Bush is a twat

good video and sound 8/8/4
The movie was good BUT he is such a bush hater and everything he says is aganist him. So i can't tell whats the truth and what is a lie. The movie makes Hitler look like a better person than Mr. Bush. I didn't like it because it is sooooo 1 sided.

No need for a nuke. This release is fine. I've tested it on 4 different stand-alone players with no problems. Even played on an Xbox.

Video: 7
Audio: 9
Movie: 10

Vote Kerry.

Yes I'm new here, so if you equate post count to intelligence just skip this post.

I too understand why this copy was nuked, but it's better quality than POTs and it's actually complete.

Shouldn't an incomplete release be an automatic nuke?

It just seems worse to have part of the film missing than having a copy that isn't compatible with all players, to me. Because at least I can re-encode or try a different player in case two, but what am I going to do in case one?

all of the facts are there, it just depends on how you put it together. i'm glad it exposes bush and some of it may be theory but i wouldn't be surprised if they were true. 7/8/9

The 'facts' as Moore states them are justified by him line by line at http://www.michaelmoore.com/warroom/f911notes/ for those who are interested. As someone else said it's about how you add them all up to come to your own conclusions.

Superior to the CAM and includes the Patiot Act scenes missing from that same rls. 7/7/7

That's the reason it was nuked.. and there's been quite a few comments already made about it.

Posted by Puzzlepants on 07-29-2004 09:11 AM:

I scanned through this release and found it to be pretty damn good.

Colors a bit faded and one other thing that others mentioned: the video in the actual movie is sometimes fuzzy and pixelated, which completely throws of the quality of the release because the quality can never be better than the source.

Oh well, I didn't even notice the bitrate issue in this release because I got the Xvid 1 CD Re-enc of this and it was perfect
