I watch this last night. Very good video, audio crackles for a few seconds in about 3 different places but it's still very good and I found the film better than the first one. Nice to see another top quality release from Saosin.. Thanks

I still think that people should not vote on audio and video quality until they have watch the whole of the film.

::EDIT:: We don't care what you think - Neversoft::

Neversoft not many people even read the first comments, the majority of people only read the comments from people who have actually watched the release all the way through, so they get a true idea of what the quality is like.

You have to hand it to SAOSIN, they do good work. What I like about their work is they know how to work with dark movies. their stuff is very visible with nighttime scenes. awesome work..please keep it up

movie fan maybe there is an internal(Only for saosin members) release for pacifier....but i dont think so...guys does anyone know about pacifier from saosin or is it just a shitty ''joke''?

Posted by hairy_coo on 03-23-2005 04:20 PM:

Overall , a quality release. Video is spot on , as is the audio ( although is does become rather "cam-esque" for the last 15 mins or so.

Twatfactor = 0 ( as far as i could see).

Video 9
Audio 7 (would have been 8 if not for last 15mins)
Movie 6 (nothin special although I've seen a lot worse)

do you see peoples "heads". I remember watching saosin's release of hostage and I saw a head stand up in the end.

Nice

nice pic, nice sound. Keep up the good work Saosin and as for the people out there that blast these groups for quality even if the pic is dark or w/e how bout you risk your ass and cam a movie or 2 when u can pull that off and have a perfect rls. then and only then should u be allowed to blast another group. Now with that out of the way have a nice day :P

::EDIT:: What an original comment! nobody ever said that on here before (trust me bud, they don't listen) - Neversoft::

No twat factor in this release.

Solid ts. Dark scenes are watchable, not too bad, but noticeable blockiness on those scenes. Overall video is very very nice...Props for great video quality on a dark film...

Audio on the other hand is below par for a TS. Has some crackling throughout it (I assume they are using the headphone jack at the theater, SAOSIN use a gold plated cable and it will fix that problem!), and the end goes to very low audio, cam audio almost, I ran the audio through a normalize filter then rejoined the audio and video so I could watch it without having trouble near the end...

Overall,
Video: 8
Audio: 7 (lost points for non dts direct audio, and the audio problem at the end)
Movie: 8

Your question has already been answered if you bothered to read the rest of the posts ... which is what this forum is for , also it was during the very ending of hostage that a guy got up , not like it was a crutial scene ....... Im sure people stand up in silver's also , just so blurry and grainy you cant make them out

wow love the colour on this. very impressed nice camera. who gives a toss if peeps get up when the qual is like this, i havnt watched it all the way through yet im doing so now. i just had to say somthing because of the quality. thank you very much for this release. if its a silver thanx for finding it quickly if not there shouldnt be no reason for releases of less qual in the future......

Video was great, but I thought the audio was a bit low and muffled.

vcd or dvd?

hey using "winavi" it says it injects AC3 in the video and every dvd video ive made it seems to say dolby digital on it and sound quality is always excellent

-question is that i can burn this as a vcd with the given bin's and cue's and use a cd'r.....being as this would take quicker and not waste a dvd will the audio still be the same as if i converted it to dvd?

-can using winavi to convert to dvd actually change the quality of the sound, because i can definately confirmed the any avi i pulled off limewire (700mb or so) always came out sounding like dolby digital......will making a vcd use the stereo sound thats included in the mpeg?

-i use isobuster to extract the mpeg then convert to dvd, but do i really need to do all this am i going to get better audio if i convert to dvd? thanks for trying to help

I'll only rate the video because i just skimmed through:

Video: 8.7(seems to kinda flicker a little, or is it just something i only notice)

::EDIT:: You're sooooo lucky You slipped in a rating at the end... Please ask questions in the correct part of the forum, these threads are for comments only. Thanks. Oh, and the answer to your question is "No" you're not really getting better audio when you convert it (just duplicated to more channels I suspect) you'd get a similar effect by just playing the (s)VCD's and using the "fake surround" mode on your amp - Neversoft::

Video was good.. For a TS.. Good colour, dark parts were still very watchable.

Audio... I am not sure why some of you are saying it is so bad. Maybe you just have insane systems so you notice it more.

It was clear, sharp and full. Of course I use tv out and watch directly to my TV.. using the TV's audio along with my computer's audio. Some crackles, but nothing horrible and few and far between.

The movie.. It was boring. There hasn't been a good scary movie out in a long time. It moves slowly, it was predictable, it was a waste of time.

WELL DONE AGAIN.........

TWATFACTOR

what IS the Twat Factor i hear you say?
Well the Twat Factor is where one or more TWATS feal the need to get up or bob about IN SHOT whyle a movie is playing.

for me this stuff isnt a real problem but for some its Real off putting and i can only guess that this hasnt been said yet because as normal most posters havent seen the whole movie before posting.

It must be a real kick in the nuts for the Cam dude to take the risk in Camming this for us only to have a moe moe Twat bobbing up n down or his m8 stand directly in the frame
