Section 1 for me is: 34:36 long.
Section 2 for me is: 34:53 long.

Hey everyone, saw this movie in the theater and it kix ass. Now can anyone tell me how to get it to work after i've downloaded it. I go to extract the files using isobuster and it keeps saying every sector can't be read. I've downloaded the three bin and three cue images. Where do I go from here?

Posted by Bravo on 04-07-2005 03:50 PM:

For all of you that rated the sound a 10 when it's mono. I wonder what would you rate the stereo sound? It is very good sound, but it isn't a true copy of the original track. It is a part of the orginal track(not complete).

8/7/10

Great, great movie, and extremely faithful to the original comics!

Video is good, but not great, audio could use a little more clarity.

glitches on first cd?

Am I the only one seeing hiccups playing the first CD?

I got curious, extracted the MPEG, running it though some tools...

They are still chewing on it as I write, but so far they report that at one point the audio switched to 32Khz, and that there are PTS jumps in the video. It's also got some GOPs with more than 15 pics, but I'm not sure if that is OK for SVCD or not (it isn't for DVD).

As far as the third CD goes...

Just rename it to .BIN, edit the cue to also say .bin, and burn it.
It *is* an SVCD, just the wrong extension.

Sound Jumps

Has anybody been getting muting of sound for a split second on SOASIN releases. In this release its every other word.

Posted by razorbladex90 on 04-09-2005 05:38 PM:

I've got nothing to say about the quality because its already been said. The movie is the best I've seen all year. I was glued to my TV from start to finish. Robert Rodriguez has always done enjoyable movies but here he's really outdone himself.

Video - 9
Audio - 9
Movie - 9

Saosin - I LOVE YOU!!

Yes, that's what I'm talking about...

Glitches in the sound were what caught my attention initially.

Further analysis seems to indicate that the variable bitrate video peaks above the SVCD 2X max and that there are related MUX'ing issues. (The bit I reported earlier about the audio sample rate was a red herring - *that* tool was having troubles parsing the mpeg data)

On CD1,

Bitrate Viewer says 2284 Average 2869 Peak

MPEG-2 Validator says 2283k Average 2869k Peak for video stream, 224k for audio, 2723k Program mux rate

MPEG-2 Validator also indicates "PTS Underflow (Mux Error)" and "DTS Underflow (Mux Error)"

Demux'd the audio and video streams and fed them to BBMPEG to remux for SVCD, allowing it to calculate the rates, and it reports:

Multiplexing information
Video stream data rate : 369850 bytes/sec (2958800 bits/sec)
Audio stream 1 data rate : 28000 bytes/sec (224000 bits/sec)
Overhead data rate : 6300 bytes/sec (50400 bits/sec)
Total data rate : 404150 bytes/sec (3233200 bits/sec)

The resulting MPEG file plays smoothly with no glitches.

And for what it's worth, running the remuxed mpg back through MPEG-2 Validator indicates a new Program Mux rate of 3157k and no PTS/DTS underflow errors.

Smile Best qual TS vid quality ever!

Thx, Saosin,

I usually don't post, but this by far the best quality video wise for a TS that I've ever seen. Keep up the outstanding work. B/c it is greatly appreciated.

Not getting that here, try burning at a lower speed. If you're running it on your PC, then your processor is probably too slow.

I'm getting that too, and slow processor is not the case. 2.6GHz A64 here.

9/9/x
only because I'm not sure what a 10 would be like on mediocre equipment , but quality was pretty seamless.
