takes a whole 30mins to get it right, if ya can't fix it maybe ya shouldnt be downloading it to start. someone will eventually do it for yas, if ya wanna wait.

i think the problem with the audio is its shitty, just as much as it is out of sync. so fixing the sync only fixes one problem.

now about syncing the audio with zn release, i tell you its not that easy. but to test it out i did it anyway. i cut both releases so that they started and ended at the same point. i then used the mvn video with zn audio. works great, for about the first 10-15 mins. then later in the film it gets out of sync, building slowly. reason? just like i said, different frame count. naturally when you record, or edit, or whatever, frames are dropped here or there. you think one frame or two is nothing, but once ya get 25 of those, guess what ya got a second difference. you would need to open it up in a bigger program, splice the audio in multiple points, and keep re-syncing as ya go. hardly an easy task.

8/2/?

Picture is great for a TS, but the sync issues with the sound kill the experience. Also, there apparently should be a "last scene" that is missing. Boo.

Posted by betelgeus on 06-04-2006 12:51 AM:

thanks adywan hope this is improvement.i tried muxing audio of 2 releases but was pointless due to sync issues.

odd thing is the audio on mavens could/should be top notch, inverting the audio gives great results.

it has been the same on theyre last 4 or 5 releases.great video but the encoder should be sacked.

i know xvid is new/ish to maven but whoever is doing the work is making stupid mistakes ruining what could be unquestionably the best release.

How It Looks
How It Should Look

if you want to extract the audio file, open it with audacity, and invert one of the channels then put it back in the .avi file fixed then go for it (thats what i'll be doing)
But to make things simple, play it with VLC and set the audio to mono. It will sound soooo much better. hard hitting bass and everything

V:9/A:5
V:9/A:10 When fixed

Well, I demuxed the rls, and inverted the left audio chan, and it does sound loads better. The sync issue needs to be taken care of, still. If it just got progressively out of sync, I could have re-encoded the audio with framerate conversion, but since it fixes itself, this would make where it's fixed bad too. Perhaps I need to split the file before it fixes itself, then do a framerate conversion on the first part, and rejoin the the parts and then multiplex them back together.

Anyone successfully done this themselves yet?

Oh, and for the rls:

Video - 7
About like the vid they had on Big Momma's House 2. I agree with them on the principal that a high quality TS makes a TC unnecessary, but they're not quite saosin yet...

Audio - 3
When it went out of sync, I couldn't stand it anymore. For some reason, it doesn't seem to bother a lot of people, but I loose all attentiveness when the sounds I'm hearing and the picture I'm watching start racing instead of working together...

Movie - 8 (Spoilers)
I swear, this movie got better each time I watched it, but I also notice more things I can't help but be upset about. *** SPOILERS REMOVED BY MODERATORS*** The ending still allows for many things from the Age of Apocalypse if they decide to do an X4 eventually. I'm looking foreward to the Wolverine and Magneto movies next year, still

since certain mods around here are on power trips, let me go ahead and review the release so i can engage in conversation with the other posters

v- 8.5

m - 8

i'm sad to see they let children be mods. i mean really, if you have an issue with someone's post, pm them your problem, and delete the post. no need to post "faggot" or whatever else in place of their comments. grow up Dwaggy

Posted by thescp on 06-04-2006 08:10 AM:

These moderators are so lame they have to change what I post. LOL. Get a life.

I tried to help people get corrected audio from the ZN release for the maVen release under the name theinner6, and Dwaggy over here bans me for asking about a rule. I sign up on this name, throw a post up proving how much of a douche he really is, and he has some other mod change it because the truth is apparently too scary for him.

Once again, fuck you Dwaggy. Go ahead and change once again this you lame fuck. This forum blows anyway. Ban me... PLEASE! I don't want to be able to come back to this unappreciative shithole you call a forum where people do nothing but bitch all day about how much every release sucks.

No one is sayint aht maVen shouldnt be nuked, i was just arguing that they are still given such high regards because of the risks they take

Adywan does what 90% of real sceners can do and instead "releases" them on newsgroups. What a hero.

If the "real sceners" can do it, then why the fuck don't they?, then adywan wouldnt have the need to sort out fucked releases.

BTW iljs, you aren't a real scener u dont have anything to do with "making" releases..lets just say we have a mutual friend

Why do "sceners" do this though? I mean, what's their incentive?

Hope they release more movies, such as poseidon and the break up.
this release was pretty good but its a shame that the audio was out of sync.

So... a NTSC @29,97fps would have a longer playing time than the PAL version? I find that hard to believe. Moreover while I thought the fps at the cinemas were like 24fps or something. Different scan rates imo only affect the 'image': 25 frames per second will take as long as 29,97 frames per second. Meaning the desync isn't a side effect caused by different scan rates. I sure couldn't say whats causes it though; might be a cinema which still plays it with a reel, the other perhaps digital. The digital cinema will play it at absolutely correct speed. The cinema with the old reel might just play at 1.0001 This will cause a cummulative difference between the two releases, progressing while the movie endures. Perhaps it is due to different camera's while recording at cinema. Maybe it is a side effect from the encoding process... Maybe one camera suffers more than the other from 'drop-outs' on tape. whatever it is, it's not the scan rate.

Great copy maven,

The video is so small you cant see that well, even in xbmc when zoomed in its still small.

How do you adjust to video size so it will fit a 16:9 tv. What encoder do i use? and what res?

thanks in advance
