I don't know why people are rating this a 9 or 10. The color is washed out and I can see macroblocks.

Audio: 8
Standard audio

The video for this rls is easily 8 - 10 depending on how picky you are... but no way does this rls deserve a measly 6 for video! I guess you'd only rate something a 10 if it was hi-def!

Bluish tints, dodgy contrast and certainly not cigarette burns have nothing to do with Telecines, they can all be on DVD Screeners too, sometimes even on Retail stuff, though rare these days.

Why on earth would there be cig burns on a retail release? And I don't know why TCs always have crappy contrast and blue tints, but that is certainly my experience.

Either way, the video on this is far from perfect..

Have no idea, my DVD of equilibrium has 1 and i remember seeing 48 Hours on TV a few years back, and it had about 4-5 cig Burns.

TC's and DVD Screeners generally have the same flaws, and screeners can and do have burns too

I guess it depends what you're watching it with. It may look good on an analog TV. I watched it on a 42" HD LCD, and the colors are washed out, the overall picture is foggy, and there are many macroblocks and color seperation. Even on my 19" LCD I can see this. I don't know if that's how the actual DVD Screener looks like or if it was a poor encode.

I agree, and the DVDR has even more blocks, and is washed out, but its only a screener, and should be judged on that, something like Children Of Men DVDScr is a 10 for video, so this is an 8, if this was a retail rip it would get a 6, but its not.

I've now watched this once on my 19" HD widescreen LCD computer monitor and twice on my 20" analog TV.

Video-9 looked great to me. Colors were nice, images not too pixelated and the "Property of MGM" message didn't appear too frequently.

Audio-9 Can't really find any faults.

Movie-10 I can't believe how fucking great this movie was. I'm not even a Rocky fanatic, but this was easily one of the five best movies of 2006. If you love movies you need to download this and give it a chance. Just terrific writing, acting and directing and a nice way to close the Rocky series.

Watched the fixed version of this last night

not a bad movie.

So many complaints these days even when a new group with seemingly LOADS of potential (in these times of the worst releases ever seen...) people are just slating them..
Yep. there is a sync issue but it is easily fixed with the -iND NFE fix or whatever they called it.
I remember the old rocky movies as being brilliant but, well, i was a kid then.

VIDEO: 8
AUDIO: 8 (after correcting the timing with the fix)
MOVIE: Hmm... predictable and well, like the others... a measly 2!
