Unhappy

anyone else having audio/video sync problems with this release?

Posted by DrSVCD on 12-21-2002 08:22 PM:

Damn! Both TCF and FTF......why?

Both TCF and FTF releases have audio sync problems. Sucks.
Releases are not worth working on. I think ill leave them out of sync and in the waiste paper basket.
No worries We have about 20 more versions to go im sure.

WHO WILL WIN THE RACE FOR A QUALITY RELEASE?

Posted by ryda on 12-21-2002 09:45 PM:

6/6/6

pic- pretty good. def. watcheable.
sound - ok. this is the weakest point. but still, def. watcheable
movie - ok. i can not agree with the majority. this movie is NOT WORTHY of greatness. this movie should be called "the neverending, neverending, neverending, story infinity". ill say this to the makers, they sure want to milk this forever. the movie only became interesting on cd3. but then it ends just like part 1? why the hell do i want to see all these battles in between? sure, the big trees and gnomes and those beasts those bad guys ride on are cool, but do we need 10 movies to watch until we see the end? whatever. i for one am glad i dont waste my money to see each film which starts and finishes like the previous one. and also, can we have some NAMES that are not 20 syllables long so i can remember which character they are talking about? to each be their own..i simply wont jump on the LOTR band wagon. just show me the damn ENDING!!!

Frodo dies. Now you don't have to see the thrid part.

Can anyone confirm that has seen the film in the cinema, that there is a scene missing in this version where Aragon is getting dragged along by a horse, and then all of sudden it jumps back to Helms Deep? Or was that just a bad burn on my part?

Good release by the way. 7/6/9

Talking

Nice release, shame a bit is missed on disk 2 i think, where Aragon falls off a cliff, kinda a bad point at which they decide to change tape in their camera, but i can't really moan. The pic is good quality considering the speed they got this out, i'd give a 7ish, sound aint too bad, 6 maybe.

As has been said, the camera is at a bit of an angle, so subs are on the wonk, but it is in widescreen (as you can see by the zooming out after the first title credits) :-)

Worth a download, thats my opinion.

I gove it a 8/5/9

dartpro rox0rs

good for 60-cycle hum, too

Missing footage

While protecting the women and children heading to Helm's Deep, just how much is missing? The Warg's attack, the men ride off to fight them, Gimli gets buried under three different corpses.... Aragorn saves him... and then he's washing up on the shore. I wonder how much movie I missed there?

the makers dont want to milk this forever. this is how the book was written (well almost) so this is how the movie is being made... if you wanna know the ending just read the book. nuff said

LOL yup you missed about 2 and a half or 3 minutes there.
See it in the theater if you haven't already, and then come home and download this release.
