Only about 15 scenes total of subs and all the text adds up only to about a small paragraph total.

Any chance you could hook me up with that translation sheet? If not...can anyone tell me at what times the subtitles come on? I don't want to waste time downloading a CAM with English subs so I'm going to have a friend who speaks Russian translate this release for me. It would just make it easier knowing the timestamps ahead of time. Thanks.

Overall quality is among the most excellent TS's I've seen.
After watching whole release...

Video - 9 (No artifacts or noticable blocking, no shadow, heads popping up, etc. Video is near VHS screener quality and NO blur that is not from the original movie itself)

Audio - 8 (Had some issues hearing certain scenes where dialog seemed important, maybe I need to clean my ears I usually like to read from closed caption while watching movie, kinda sad that I didn't take French in HS. )

Movie - 8 (I was not a big fan of the first movie, however, this one gave Jason Bourne an edge and showed his supremacy, which made the movie fuckin' cool. Overall, worth viewing more than once)

Got to say IMPRESSED audio is good ,yes i agree a little dark video ,but come on lets not complain, its a telesync.
as for film going to watch it in bed with a spliff later
I only usually grap xvid dvd screeners or dvd rips but people need to make an exception at times

as for telesync

9/9/?

Perfect audio, video is awesome

I cant believe that this is getting a >8 for video. The edges of the movie have been taken away so far it is just a shame, the top of the heads of everyone is quite often gone. After watching it for 5 minutes I delete it from my hard disk. The quality of the video is not bad, but I can only imagine what else is on the real screen.

For anyone who wants the subs translated, rather than get someone to tell u the the russian, just use a translator on the french subs, make up the SVCD subs and re-auhor it.

Thats what im planning to do, though i have only found one instance of them subs so far, is that right or is ther more.

GREAT JOB maVen!!!! This is one hell of a release. The pic is very good, maybe a tad dark but not bad at all. The audio is also very nice and Full. The movie itself ROCKS BigTime. Of course I also loved The Bourne Identity. The only thing is I dont think this one had as much action and fighting and stuff as The Bourne Identity did. Anyways, EXCELLENT JOB maVen. Keep It Up and you guys are going to be a Force To Reckon With in the scene.

I don't think you realize how involved what you just said actually is. It sounds nice and easy when you're just typing it but it's another thing to actually do it. You've either got to edit the subs frame by frame or do a whole lot of multiplexing/demultiplexing and cutting/merging mpg files. Which IMO will most likely cause A/V sync issues. But hey...good luck to you.

And there is at least 5 times in the movie where French subtitles are shown. 2 times in CD1 and 3 times in CD2 that I've found so far.

I realized what it involved, i quite like doing shit like that, and ive managed it before.

What is a problem is the amount of subs you say are there, as i dont mind re-watching one scene a l lot, but if im gonna spoil the movie then im prob best leaving it, and try and guess what they're saying.

Posted by crackerjax on 07-27-2004 08:37 PM:

wow, it's been a while since I've posted on a release, but here goes ... (I think I'm following all those rules)

1. audio = it's damn nice, almost a 10, but there are a couple of pops in it, so we'll rate it a solid 9. Very nice DTS decoding.

2. video = (8) the only couple of issues I have with the video, is of course the subtitles, but the main jist of the movie is brought across, so they must not have been very important parts. And at the end when they blurred out where in New York they were at ... not sure why they blurred out that part and none of the other locations .... anyone have insight on this?

3. movie rating = (8.5) It kept me very entertained, but some of the movie is unbelievable. Oh well, it's drama.

nice release maVen, keep 'em coming

I really hope the movie is a as good as the quality is for this release. It's great to see a new group that's getting it right in their first time (although they probably have been doing this for a while internally or in other groups).

Actually I already did it. I sat down with a mpeg2 editing program and wrote down all the start/end times for the french subs, took the screen caps from the cam as my translation source(tried altavista/bablefish but translations were poor or didn't even translate all the words), created the SSA sub files, used maestro to create the svcd/mpeg2 compliant subs, and then added them to the mpeg2 files WITHOUT reencoding. The subs are "soft"-coded, so your dvd player has to support svcd selectable subs. but they work! pop right up.

honestly though there aren't that many subs and you can figure out whats going on without them, all the subs together add up to about a small paragraph, most are just several words, not a big deal.

hmm

This is definatley a solid release, and jsut for the record, unlike alot of the posts here, i'm going by the full release, not the jpeg, or the sample.

I can finally watch this flick

8/8/8

one thing i noticed tho, seems shaky in spots for a ts, but that could just be the movie itself, i couldn't tell from the cam, so i'm probably wrong

Props to maven on a solid release(to bad these movies pale in comparision to the book series, but alas such is life)

stop bitching and start leechin :P

Very good quality picture and tight sound...another good release...

i don't think to highly of the whole Bourne thingy...no excessive violence...just matt damon running around....without Bennifer. Need some new concepts, the whole story line was cheesy..but ill leave the rest to all to comment on.

Posted by Chewie UK on 07-28-2004 01:11 AM:

Great quality rls. Video looks a little dark on my PC so should be perfect on a standalone, sound excellent, movie very entertaining. Gonna get to the local fleapit again for this
