Great, now the fucking studio is at war with the writers

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/15264007/site/newsweek/

Shouldn't affect the actual show though

another excellent point was when galactica jumped into the atmosphere, launched fighters and jumped out. I was literally sitting with my mouth open at that point

The ULTIMATE rescue scene, as far as I'm concerned, EVER!!!!

That was astounding, when I saw the preview of a battlestar falling through the air, I thought "oh shit they lost galactica"

When I saw what was really going on, I was freakin amazed!

And the scene where the Pegasus comes on to the scene with guns blazing was a close second!

WOOOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lee got his edge back, we get the Admiral back, and holy hell where do we go from here?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Well I know where Adama Jnr goes: weightwatchers, the gym, the vegetable counter at the supermarket, then to the doc's to get hooked up on speed.

Great episode(s), my favourite thing about BSG is watching the vipers and their missiles streaking through the sky and space, had it all. The xo's bitch wife dying and Adama losing the lip warmer were bonuses.

Where do they go from here? Resume the search for Earth, ducking and dodging the Cylons on their way hopefully.

I want to watch Starbuck, Number Six, Boomer and Anastasia at the receiving end of some seriously rough anal but otherwise, THIS SHOW DELIVERS!

Fantastic episode, I've got wood in anticipation of this weeks ep

well this weeks episode was pretty intense, a lot more feeling to it and a lot more of the gritty effects of war on show.

Another fantastic offering, this show gets better and better

And an episode about the rule of law and how no civilised society can ever dispense with it to suit circumstances. I can't remember my Dicey (been a long time), but iirc the only circumstances for dispensation is to restore the rule of law when extraordinary events (i.e. occupation by an invading force) have caused cessation. Under all other circumstances only the appointed independant judicial system should determine where any bodies power ends and whether they are operating outside of it...and no President, Prime Minister, or any other governmental official can extend beyond those rights.

In other words...Bush sucks

The suicide bombers bit was pretty related to the Middle Eastern situation but was incredibly well done.

The special courts bit and the loss of justice after wartime, well thats happened after every war, so to compare it to Gitmo is fair enough, but you can also compare it to summary executions in WW2 or WW1 etc etc.

Oh but Bush does suck.

Adama says BUSH DOESN'T SUCK< YOU DO>

Posted by Sin on 10-29-2006 05:02 PM:

Adama is a closet liberal. GO LIBERALS!

And another fuckin 2-parter!

Great episode though, lots more insight into the Cylons and how they function. The search for Earth is back on...but different to how you might imagine

The best sci-fi series ever! And it just seems to get better every time.

PS: Naturally you don't really see the relevant bits, but Grace Park nude again And Trish Helfer in gratuitous bikini shots

What do you think will happen to Boomer, is the any chance she could catch the virus that killed everyone on the mothership.

if she dies and was regenerated she would be pretty fucked when she came back to life back with the cylons

Posted by Jules_Tavernier on 11-07-2006 05:38 PM:

nearly forgot.........

who the fuck are the other 5 cylons ??? the ones that are never talked about

im pretty sure Gaius Baltar ISNT one, im not even sure if the writters know yet, i think there just leaving the door open at the moment......

it would kill me to find out the admiral is a cylon, devistated i would be

Posted by baha on 11-07-2006 09:08 PM:

I'm pretty sure Col. Ty's wife was one. I know, I know, she seemed to be human when getting Ty released...but that's this series. When she first made her appearence it was pretty certain that she was a Cylon. (And the fact the 5 models are never talked about must mean there's something quite different about them or that they're in conflict with the other 7 models.)

Anyone who remembers the original will remember that Gaius was leader of the Cylons (though there was always an uneasy relationship between him and the Cylons), maybe in the remake this virus is how Gaius assumes leadership? (By creating a cure and coercing them into following his will...possibly. Though maybe the new series won't necessarily ever have Gaius as Cylon leader.)
