I am almost convinced that its the same source as apm's, But I will say this though The difference between svcd, and vcd are shown between the two releases. The ctp version is so much clearer.

If it wasn't for the angle i would give this an 8 but since it does i give it a 7, but still great, audio has a buzz so i give that a 7 my stereo amplifies that buzz ALOT. I had to mess with the settings on my stereo and i don't like to do that. I thought the movie was brilliant,

Wow i forgot to submit this statement about 3 or 4 hours ago. damn i'm slow

Got full realease now. Watchs the dream in the begining. Not bad!. Now if I would get a screener of this within 2 months(dvd pref ) I would mess my pants .

well its out and im pleased. thats to all, they all have there ups and downs..some speed some sound and some picture. Now whos gonna be the king and release a DVD screener.

Dont forget people this film has a different colour scheme then most films. and also alot of the places are quite dark so this also must be hard to get to become enjoyable to watch. Its a film that i dont mind watching over and over again...each time the quality getting better with each rip.

thanks to all, and dont forget people show your respect and go see the film at the cinema, then buy it when its released on DVD

There is an angle, but it's not too bad ... Just to clarify it IS from shooting the movie from the front row and not a "fish-eye lense". Trust me i'm a videographer, you don't change lenses on a mini DV camera in order to shoot a WS aspect ratio or at all for that matter.

After downloading both samples (APM & CTP) its a tough call. APM has few more macro blocks but is not cropped as bad. Sound is about the same. Centropy did a good job on this one ........with the cropping being the one exception. I can see the movie has angle to it, with or without the crop, SO WHY CROP? Had same gripe about X2, which was another high quality release. Chins and foreheads are important 8/8/10 from me.

Video is good, about the same as xmen. Audio is ok, I can hear the buzz on my computer but barely notice it on my tv.

Just got done watching this release. Imo its better then the atm release .. video is more crisper and more color and sound is alot better then atm. Def thumbs up on ctp on this and worth the extra cd dl. Movie is excellent i would have to watch it again to say its better then orginal but by far the best movie this year. Can't wait for Revolutions... L8rs

After getting

Matrix.Reloaded.TS-ESOTERiC
The.Matrix.Reloaded.Internal.TS-FTF
The.Matrix.Reloaded.TS.REAL.PROPER-APM

and getting

The.Matrix.Reloaded.SVCD.TS-Centropy

I have to say the CTP is definitely my favorite so far (Even though my gay dvd player won't play svcds.. its still worth it)

hey dakkon you can do what I do......hook up your laptop (or in your case your pc?) to your TV or TV-tuner through the video out on your graphic card......then play the MPEG-2 file from your laptop...with a mobile Geforce 4 there is very little quality loss.....matrox cards tend to have the best video-outs though...

I think this movie is worth the trouble which in the case of a laptop its no big deal....if you have to move your pc....well thats another issue...

oh and I'll rate the movie after I've watched the full release tonight......don't just want to judge from a sample...

Posted by params on 05-20-2003 09:29 AM:

forget what I said before

after taking screen shots of both this and the apm and overlaying them there is no doubt that these are from the same source - they are identical - I just thought the angle in the apm was less (not so)

whoever supplied this has either given apm a lower quality copy to release or they just screwed it up as I can't believw that just converting it to VCD rather than SVCD would make that much difference - comparing frame to frame the CTP picture quality is far better

finally saw this ctp and i think it looks great

Posted by in5ane on 05-20-2003 10:52 AM:

Excellent release, well worth watching... if only i held on a few days, cos i watched the eso release

The angle is there, but not really noticable in most scenes. It seems petty complaining about it, but surely its really easy for ctp to rectify?

I reckon its definitly the same source as apm cos at the very start there is a little identical camera shake in both...

apm's release is fine when viewed thru a tv, but is obviously a little more blocky and less detailed than the ctp one close up because its vcd vs svcd. Even with the same source, svcd will always look better than its vcd counterpart. If i didnt have acces to both releases, i would still be happy with apm.

8/8/8

any one notice though on the APM rls that it went out of sync about 10-15 times throughout the film?

i know someone else mentioned it before...but its pretty annoying.

Matrix R

Got the sample yesterday, and it looks great, so i put it on svcd to see how it came out on my tv and dvd player, but when i played it, their was a weird line in the middle of the screen, so when scenes move the picture gets messed, this also happens to daddy day care and x men 2, mmmmm all centropy releases, can any1 pls help

Posted by typesdragon on 05-20-2003 01:27 PM:

Just downloaded the whole 3 cds and the matrix revolution trailer. I have to say the picture is great, there is a slight buzz in sound, but not too bad at all. Thanks CTP!! This movie is UNBELIEVABLE!!

Posted by PsYCoTiC on 05-20-2003 02:19 PM:

Unhappy

Well, I know this will get me flamed by all the CTP lovers, but it just has to be said. this release is the same source as the APM release. i have viewed both and have seen the exact same jump on both in the exact same place. I'm sure many others have seen it as well. The jump I speak of comes in the first few minutes when Morpheous and Link are in the ship preparing to park it. Having said that, It is also my opinion that this is really no better than the APM release. The lighting is just turned up a bit causing slight white out in some parts. Also, the screen height on this release is a tad shorter it appears. I do not pledge allegiance to any one group, but I do however feel compelled to post my opinion here in this great forum. Flame if you will. I don't care.

PEACE!!

Great work, Centropy !!!

I burned Centropy's release and watch it on the telli, the picture is quite good, almost equal to screener quality, and the sound is good too. i rate this release 9/9/8 (visual effect 9 + screenplay 7 = 8 )

I just wanted to say THANKS to Centropy guys, keep it up, in my eyes, Centropy is the best TS release group no doubt.

P.S I'm sure some Centropy guy is Chinese or Chinese-American. HEHE
