Hulk go SMASH

Very impresive release. Good movie too, one unlike the others. They took the comic part of the the movie a step farther. They have sequences in the movie where they have picture in picture. Also they take parts and turn them into cool comic drawings.
Only downfall is the lighting and the quality. You cant see the last fight seen very well, even when you bring the lighting up on your television. That was a little dissapointing. And some audio seems to be mising in different places durring some of the fighting seens but its hard to tell.
All in all, its just onother sweet Marvel movie. I would recomend it to any one. Just be sure to see it in the theaters when it comes out.

the quality is fine and the two bars on the right side of the picture dont spoil the effect at all.

to the movie itself:

its not a spiderman, but its better than daredevil which really sucked!

i liked the hulk they did a good job
the music to the film (danny elfman) remembered me a tiny bit of the black hawk down score (by hans zimmer) which doesnt mean its bad its rather the opposite

yeah the split screens or the pictures in the pictures remembered you of the comic book styles i liked it

to put it in a nutshell the movie is one of the better ones,
i really cant expect to see it at the theatres in Germany

WOW just watched it..... and i must say :
PIC : 8 (better than many screeners!!!!!)
SOUND: 7 (would be a 9 if it was sourround...but its clear and you can understand everything)
MOVIE: 10
The Movie is awesome.....DRAMA & ACTION....and both is enough in it...i defenitly love it...but i must say as i saw that the effects were not complete on this workprint i was even more happy...i mean look at him...HE LOOKS GREAT...in some scenes, but if this is not complete..and i guess it is not complete at all...Ang said he finished the movie last wednesday...and i guess the workprint is about 2 or 3 months old...so image what they did to perfect it...I SAY A LOT!! Go to the cinema or download your first screener and compare it and be blown off what you can make with CGI!!!
I´ll be in the line in my GERMAN cinema on July 3rd and i will enjoy it....hope you do the same!

Well, I just got done watching this release. It's watchable since it's a workprint. The quality isn't the worst I've seen, and the audio is decent until the end when it starts to get a little off track. The movie it self, eh. It was mostly boring, but the fight scenes were pretty damn nice I'll say.. 6/6/4

After watching the whole thing now I'll say this:

I heard some of the storyline a month ago and was VERY concerned about whatthey were doing to it.

Now, myconcerns are justified. Unless they edit this BIG TIME for final release this is going to get a huge dissing by the critics and will flop!

I must admitt, the quality was better than i was expecting. Although the tracking line through the middle of the screen was very annoying.

I also think that the final release will need to be heavily edited. The film felt too long and some parts seemed drawn out and slow moving.

There are a number of missing sound effects that are obvious and the hulks pants do dissappear on occasion as the animation is not yet complete.

Will be interesting to see the final film release and compare to this version. Im sure there will be a lot of deleted scenes

This has to be for myself the biggest dissapointment of a superhero flick ever.
I have been a hulk fan for as long as i can remeber and after they stopped making the TV series and the TV films i wished for the day when someone would remake it.
I have watched it twice and although you or i cannot comment on the CGI as this is NOT the finished Film, the story line is utter rubbish from beginning to end.
The first 30 mins of the film is not needed and should be started from when Bruce sets off to the lab on his bike as throughout the rest of the film we are bombarded with lengthy flashback's which are repeating the beginning again anyway.
The first time he changes was very poorly done no real good shots of his face just his pants and trainers?...
Tolbot's death was straight out of a comic book laughable and very sad.
And the end just seemed very rushed.
Daredevil was better than this and that wasn't brilliant.

I will not be queueing outside any cinema to see this again no matter how much they polish up the CGI and add any other little bits, the story is complete so we know that it wont change too much from what we have now seen.

If only we could bring back Bill and Lou all would be saved thankfully i have alot of the old TV series and films on dvd to watch over and over again.

I rate this film overall 3/10

face it ... all of these marvel movies arent very good ... spiderman is the only one that holds its own as a movie ... besides nightcrawler x2 realy wasnt very good .. more entertaining than the first ill give it , but still not as good as it should of been.

Story telling is needed to those who arent "into" the whole marvel universe. i personally think that the film was great, better than spiderman maybe!, Ang Lee done great with it, but thats my opinion...

Anyway this is my first workprint and I think its really great..( not the audio or video)....but the fact that its the working print to the movie..I think this would make the best add on to the dvd when it comes out...think about it...the multiple pics that come up in some parts of it...all I can see in my head is all the people working on the movie sitting around watching each part to see what should be added or parts left out...i DONT think the final cut will be like this...but refined from the best parts(I hope)....anyway its still pretty cool.....................................

im not saying you dont need character development .... hell without it it would just suck .......

but on the other hand .. it seems thats all they have given us.

i mean ... how come spiderman managed to have good character development and a solid story in one movie ? the movie felt complete .... daredevil felt complete as a story ...just lacking as a movie... and xmen seems like it was only half finished......... they shouldn't need to rely on a sequel

also .. your comment about " hulk smash " ....... what the hell do you think the hulk is ? hes a manifestation of anger... he doesnt sit around picking his nose and looking at the stars ........ hes a badass , he hates banner ... he hate humans ... and he loves kicking ass ... the angrier he is the stronger he is.

Quality equal to a slightly lower than average screener. A good comparison would be watching an 80's ex rental video.

Two black bars cover serial number and date I imagine. You forget they are there 5mins into the movie.

Sound is seperated into channels. Dialogue and sound effects on left channel, and music on the right channel. I merged the channels together into a single mono track as it was easier on the ears. Left unchanged it's a little distracting.

Movie was very long, and the flashbacks were a little tiresome. I wouldnt be suprised if there are some edits before screening. I wont comment anymore on the story as I am not sure it will remain the same in the theatrical release, and thats the release the director wishes people to see.

Special effects are not finished in a lot of scenes. Most noticeably when hulk climbs out of some rocks. At this point he is only a single pass non textured render. At other points there are bugs in the textures, including a part where his ass keeps showing outside his pants I would venture a guess with this workprint and say in hardly any of the scenes is the hulk totally finished.

The sound effects are not finished. At many points they are missing, or not mixed properly.

Anyone who is excited about this movie and downloads this release is an idiot. This is labeled a workprint, and should only be downloaded by fans of workprints. Most, like me are people that have an interesting in the mechanics of film making for which a release like this gives a better insight into 'how things work' than any 'behind the scenes' documenatry dvd extra ever could.

Anyone else should wait for a decent telesync (centropy) or *gasp* go see it in the cinema. Although I have to say, in anything but the most expensive and well equipped cinema, that experience is overrated.

quality is pretty good concidering its almost 2 weeks early i dl it a week ago movie is awsome i get major ftp and movies as tradin this movie has gotten me 10 others cant complane 7/7/10

i know this, but if thats all the movie was about, it would suck as a story. if you want to see hulk just smash shit up, get the game, its quite adept at filling that need (just got finished playing it, lol). i know thats what the hulks about, but the whole story isnt just the hulk. and i agree that daredevil sucked as a movie, and that the first xmen did as well. to me, the first xmen went way to far from the comic. i never was a daredevil fan, so i cant say how that was. point is, i think they did a decent job of cluing new people in on whats going on, as they have to with a big movie. yes, as a hulk fan, i would have like to see more of em, but it wasnt as bad as you people are making it out to be. all the consternation seems to stem from people expecting more smash scenes. my point it what would spiderman have been if all he did was swing around? or shoot his web? exactly, you have to build shit up.

I would like to start out by saying I'm sorry for posting twice. I also would like to point out that I have watched it twice . I loved this movie for what it was "A workingprint" and it had it flaws but alot of finished movies also have there flaws . I liked the development of the cractors and the more indepth expanation of how and why he becomes the hulk. I also like that the hulk dose talk"punny human" he says in a dream sequence. I know that the studio will edit this for time cause it is over 2 hours and it might make it better for the general public , but I liked it as is and when they get all the sfx and vfx done it will be well woth the wait in line at the theaters

This release was a nice surprise - until I watched it. The quality is OK, black bars aren't too intrusive. The audio is fixable and clear enough. The movie really does SUCK!!!! The biggest letdown since Jurassic Park (1,2 and 3). What a pile of poo!

Right, now that's off my chest, well done for such an early pre SMF. Let's hope future releases are as good, but of better movies!!!
