Ok this rls is good though pretty stupid l mean you can hear the camera mans cell phone ring??!! i mean wouldnt he turn it off ! and another thing he's such a clutz! he dropped the camera like 3 times wouldnt it just break or something ! I like the tcf version a little bit more.Oh and those of you who think the sound on the tcf rls is fucked a bit turn down the treble on your speakers!

The camera dropping 3 times its a joke if it wasnt LOTR it would be nuked!....the movie itself is boring nothing like the first, my son says the 3rd disc is were the action is but i couldnt wait till then......*snore*

And you don't want to hear that friend of mine that has read 6(six) times each of the Tolkien books, his opinion on the "adaptation"..

(it's actually funny hearing him raving, behehe)

Well i guess anyone that has seen this release will look around when they hear that phone Tune

picture was good When camera was pointing at the screen tho the white balance was off when bright

The Sound not so good especial the noise from the guy fiddling with the camera

Watched this this morning on a nice tv/audio setup and must say it was a pleasure. Sure theres stuff going on in the background but my kids made more noise here in my house. Seen far worse. The only ballsache is having to wait for the third film.

Video was pretty nice. I particulary enjoyed the last cd ... you know, the last march, big fights... he did dropped the cam a couple of times which is pretty hilarious, don't know how he did that, but the quality of the image is good... 8

Sound not always good. Especially at the beginnig, the cam's holder keeps moving his ass and we hear the sqeeshing of the seat... 5

Movie owns... didn't like the few things they totally invented but it still was good... 8.5

OK, now I realize that you are all going to flame about this but I'm gonna ask anyways... since there are multiple releases each film that have diiferent strengths whether it be the audio or video, how hard would it really be to steal the audio from one release and slap it with the video of another... they are the same movie and in theory should be identical legnths, but if some lameass sat in front of his computer for a day I wonder how hard it would be to do something like that.... now to all you assholes out there you can now flame, but before you do I want to tell you A) I am a newbie and understand I probaly should just stick to Kazaa or P2P. B) I'll probally never become more than a newbie because all the people at the top live to make fun of us newies.

Hopefully someone will nicely answer me kindly and not flame their asses off. From the sample I saw its a 6/5/9.

This was the best Cam I have ever saw.
The quality was very good, the low motion scenes/up close camera scenes where great and had super detail and sharpness.
The fast motion scenes where very watchable and did not do to bad. The movie is very bright during well lite scenes or scenes with white in them. Note sure if its contrast or brightness. I know when I watched it I adjusted the contrast alot and the brightness maybe a hair... this helped it to look great on my TV even during scenes with white in them. The audio is good for a Cam.

The camera is dropped once or twice during cd1 and maybe covered up once or twice also during cd1.
The guy holding the camera was funny and made me laugh... I mean besides dropping it he is very noisey and you can here him sneeze and cough, and hear him eating stuff and it crunching
Also a few times in during the movie you can hear some people laughing during some funny scenes. None of this takes away from this great Cam thou.

The Cream of Manchester strikes again, the only good thing to come out of the wrong side of the Pennines since Gordon Strachan. Quality cam job.

Am I the only one who watched this all the way through?

Everyone's on these guy's nuts because it's a decent quality release...

However, this is far from stunning! There are SEVERAL points through the filming where the camcorder is dropped (or being hidden?) and loses focus, position, etc. For example, check out two points on CD1 (about 17:30 and about 48:00). Also, throughout the movie, the audio is also distorted - you can hear the cam pick up "pops" when the camera is moved or the holder changes his grip.

Now, I do say that it is the best release I've seen here, but SHIT!!!

Anyone honestly giving this higher than 7/7/* is smoking a rock of crack worth more than UTi's camera!

My vote (basing this as a CAM, mind you) is 5/7/9. I would love to rate this higher, but there are too many points where camera loses a central shot position, people are walking by, etc. and the audio, while good, includes such features as people coughing, a little girl laughing at Golum's soliloquy, and some other murmurs, along with the popping noted earlier.

The quality of the actual picture (brightness, contrast, etc.) in most places (and to be fair, through about 90% of the film) is worth about a 6-7, maybe even an 8 if you consider what most CAMs look like.

Definately download this if you can't wait for the DVD screener or DVD rip - it's very watchable and more than we should really hope for.

Thanks UTi for the release - you deserve props for this - I'm only rating this as a critic, not an ingrate.
