i agree with you.
that also explains the exact same audio problem.

Posted by Valhalla1 on 05-20-2003 04:34 PM:

people are debating whether the source is the same ? I have not seen the CTP version (d/ling it now) but have the APM. havent read all the comments here, just a couple pages, but to me it seems obvious from the CTP nfo that the sources are the same.

"Like the APM version? So did we.." "thanks for waiting for our svcd encode"

blatantly telling you this is an svcd encode of the same source video of APM

That couldn't be because APM stole CTP's VCD version could it? lol. (So rumour has it).

I watched the CTP, the movie wasn't as good as i expected and the ending was crap but still.

Talking MATRIX RELOADED

JUST WATCHED THE WHOLE MOVIE, A FEW GLITCHES HERE AND THERE BUT OVERALL SUPERIOR TO PAST RELEASES. I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO ADD TO THOSE COMPLAINING ABOUT THE 3 CD'S AND THEIR DVD PLAYERS NOT PLAYING SVCDS, THAT IT ONLY TAKES A FEW EXTRA HOURS TO CONVERT THE SVCD BACK TO VCD (AND ONLY 2 DISCS) WITHOUT MUCH QUALITY LOSS IF ANY AT ALL. I DO IT ON ALL SVCD'S I GET BECAUSE I HAVE FRIENDS AND FAMILY THAT HAVE DVD PLAYERS THAT DON'T READ SVCD'S EITHER. AND IF YOU WANT TO GO FURTHER YOU THROW THE CONVERTED VCD INTO TMPGEnc/GEAR AND NERO AND BURN IT TO 1 DVD WORKS LIKE A CHARM!

Why PAL? My TV cannot display PAL properly and the svcds are not near as good on a computer monitor as they would be on my tv. I guess there goes the plan of combining the 3 svcd disks into one dvd... I guess I will just have to wait until someone comes out with a NTSC encode since the only two decent rls (apm and ctp) are both PAL.

A@ron:

Why wouldnt the SVCD look as good on your Monitor? Infact, it would look better because you would beable to see the entire resolution (480x480) where your TV probably can only display about 300lines of resolution unless its an HDTV

It might look better to your eye because your TV smooths the lines and uses round "pixels" but, your monitor / pc shows more detail.

Matrix Reloaded Comment

Dear all

Who gives a dam about the angle at least you can watch it still. I am going to rate this 10/10 well done Centropy and good job.

Posted by dragonbrood on 05-20-2003 06:35 PM:

when you say it has the same sound annoyances does that mean the CTP rls goes out of sync too?

Posted by Jackie Who? on 05-20-2003 06:42 PM:

Centropy did great.

If they used the APM as source, then they turned ok into awesome... I had both rls's and the Centropy rls is brighter, and seems to have less blur during action then the APM source.

The audio was a little rough, There was a few times I had to rewind and listen again (and again). It might just be Keanu's problem, and not CTPS... He is kinda a mummbler....

Either way, big ups to CTP!!! Simply the best...

Movie sucked tho... oh well, maybe the next matrix will be better...

The rave, car chase, and 20 slow motion fights were all a little too long. If I had to watch this in the theater, those would have been good times to go get popcorn and piss...

Thankfully I sat in my living room and took bonghits and got a blowjob.

Zaun,

Because I have a 32" tv and only a 17" monitor... and if by the conotation noobie you mean that I don't know what I'm talking about then you are mistaken. Perhapse my wording was poor, however, your comment was less then constructive.

A@ron

::Oh and because its PAL its resolution is not 480 X 480... it is 480 X 360. NTSC SVCDs have a resolution of 480 X 480 generally.::

Zaun, i don't think you are right. It's not because it shows full resolution that it's better. Theoricaly yes, but not practicaly. SVCD on TV are much easier on the eyes, and the colors are much brighter and better contrast. It looks better. I have noticed that will all SVCD i have. It's the same for DVD, DVD on PC aint better than DVD on TV.

Hey everyone, First post, and Im sort of new to all this. I wanted to ask about the bouncy Rubiks cube on this release and the x-men release. What is it? Is it a calling card of sorts? TIA

Posted by sebdude on 05-20-2003 08:44 PM:

I got the whole thing, but there wasn't a revolutions teaser on it like you said Doesn't really matter I have seen it already, was just wondering. Anyway 8/8/? (probably 100000)

Posted by pepelutt on 05-20-2003 08:52 PM:

bad resolution

PAL SVCD resolution is 480x576, bigger than NTSC ones

Matrix reloaded

Hey to who ever is insterested, i have found a new Encoder that can convert SVCD's to VCD's in more than half the time that TMPEG does it in. This is for people like myself that has a DVD player that wont play SVCDS.

The Encoder is by Mainconcepts and it can be found at this link:

http://www.mainconcept.com/products.shtml.

Try it it works quite well, I converted the 3 CDS for Matrix reloaded by Centropy in about 3 hours, TMPEG would take about 16 hours to do all three.

Also this release by Centropy "ROCKS", well done.

The Subman.

The sound is horrid, I change my vote:

8/6/10

Mac if you mean the buzz on the sound then watch it in a DVD player or through an amp and it will be gone for me anyway.

i dont see any difference between this and the APM release to be fair
