7.5/8/7

Not that good. Should of been 3cd, it's just over 2hrs long. There are also block's (multi colored break ups) throughout both CDs, on the DVD player and on the PC. Thought it was an IRC transfer problem, so downed from another channel, same problem, grabbed from the news, same problem. It's as if it was copied from a scratched source disc. Needs a proper. The color is way off, and makes it pretty much look like shit.

Audio is good though.

5/8/7

If your dying to see it, it's above watchable, you'll have to adjust the color on your set. If another grp would of released this, eveyone would be all over their ass. But I'd wait for a proper.

The rls is labeled internal and vcdquality usually doesn't post internal realses. This is most likely why it hasn't been posted on the site. Now the real reason for the internal is because it is near to the same quality as the 2cd, but not the same source and has some changes.
º - Angle on right top corner has been fixed.
º - Colors has been adjusted with more precision.
º - More sharpness.
º - No mosaic green block
º - Encoded 4 pass with CCE @ 2465kbit

To clear some things up-->(From the nFo)
This is the 3CDs copy of Spiderman 2 as internal.
If you didn't see the movie yet, its worth getting the extra cd,
If you saw it, and really liked the film and want to see it again,
again, it is worth getting this one. If you think the movie was ok, keep with the 2cds copy. This copy has been made for those who want extra quality, and
those perfecsionist who want the best.
For those who want to get this and create a dvdr, our guys are
doing something special for this release, an internal version of
this as dvdr, with customs menu, multiple audio ( english 5.1,
french 5.1 & german 5.1 ), video improvement with a higher bitrate and some little funny extra for you.

Since the rls is internal i doubt many will be able to get ahold of this rls for awhile so don't bother asking about where to get it, anyway if u did the mods should ban u.
I hope this cleared a few things up, later all.

i was afraid of this. basically they just rushed to get out a 2 cd version to win the release. i could understand if the 3cd version internal was put out just to have a higher bitrate for those who dont mind a 3rd cd. but the fact that other things were fixed (artifacts, colors, angles) etc, points to te fact that these things could have and should have been fixed from the very beginning. i just dont get it, videocd says a lot of peopel complained about an extra cd with some release, but now they're going out of their way to make more work for themselves by making multiple internal releases with special menus, multiple audio streams, etc etc but hey they are "internal" releases, so they can do as much with it as they like to make it better for themselves. i just think things should have been left at 3cds for longer movies, it was easy enough.

The only reason I can think of to encode to dvd is so you can sell it.

I don't know, something about that post made me feel I need to defend myself for converting it to dvd.

I won't sell dvds I get, but as a sort of weekly thing me and my friends will want to all hang out and watch it together, so I burn it to a dvd because I have blank dvds and for the most part whatever dvd player we use it will work, most compliant just makes sense if you can afford it.

Oh well, just my two cents, watching this release again right now actually, this movie was definitely worth a watch in the theater, heavy bass during some scenes made ya almost jump.

video: 8.5 (would have been 9 if not for the artefacts)
audio: 9
movie: 9

I can't beleive the word nuke was mentioned in discussion of this release! If this release is gonna be nuked then every release in the history of the scene and every release yet to come should be nuked! Picky picky picky picky! As for the movie if you get to the theater half an hour late you won't miss anything. I can't remember a movie in which the usual boring beginning took so long to end.

Dunno why people complain on the quality of this release... that's definitly one of the better Telesyncs out there, even compared to the standards set by CTP.

From the first post in this topic:

quote:
Centropy did a better job @ Spiderman but, but Videocd's the best group around these days

That's definitly BS, dunno what *you* have seen, but my CTP copy of Spiderman 1 TS wasn't as good as this one. For its time it was great, but this TS definitly has better picture, is less grainy and washed out, it even makes VHS Screener copies look bad.

Also unclear to me why everybody wants a 3 CD Version of that TS, since 2 CDs is perfect IMO. Come on, 700 more MBytes wasted bandwidth for little to no improvement? These block artefacts were hardly noticable when I watched this release, if you want *perfect* picture & experience you're better off watching this flick in the cinemas. Even with higher average bitrate and "improved" colors this TS will stay a *camera recorded* TS and won't get very much better.

Talking

Great release!

Been waiting a long time to see this one.
9/9/10

I agree, it was bloody slow towards the beginning aiii.

But yeah, my 2 cents;

Video: 8 (Blocks and general shittiness during dark scenes as expected)
Audio: 9.5 (JUST AMAZING!)
Movie: 7.5 (Good sequel, but nothing groundbreaking.)

If you have the two cd set i wouldn't worry about the three.
If it is not from the same source something is strange because it starts and ends exactly where the two disc set did. Either way it is still a top notch release.

great release. if you guys are looking for sometihng to do with your time how about Fahrenheit 911? lol i know we cant expect you to do it all, but we can hope =)

Is this the longest thread in the history of VCDquality movie release discussion?

Posted by muhali3 on 07-08-2004 06:44 AM:

Not VideoCD's usual, but still great for an early release. Should have done a 3CD because there are many scenes where you can see bitrate shortage. Centropy will always be the best.

7.7/9/8 - As a Telesync

7/8.5/8 - The way I see it.

Excellent quality as allways! (nice intro too) only prob i saw was the few green/white block and a little blurryness in some of the action scenes and a sligthly poor picture when the scence was dark... dont get me wrong im just nit picking here, overall i thought the release was fantastic and the sound couldnt get any better!
Also liked the film much more than the first one!
video: 8
audio: 10
film: 8
Im just downloading the 3 cd version and from the sample the picture seems to be a LOT better and there is no blurryness to it at all!

Posted by Jonesss on 07-08-2004 12:34 PM:

muhali3 then download the 3cd's internal of this movie then?
I saw the movie Last nigth in theaters... it was verry good
