OK For about 95% of the time this player rocks the socks. I have done extensive testing.

DVD RIPs - flawless. vcd/svcd/xsvcd formats are perfect and I have not had a single out-of-sync issue yet. Telesync vcd's all work 100% fine. Well the only 5% of the problems I encountered were the centropy svcd's, but weird thing half of them would stay in sync. (star wars 2 played fine, i think undercover brother out of sync for example). but who cares... not gonna be worrying about their jacked encoding anyway.

I picked it up for $99, plus 10bucks for 2 year warranty (always get a warranty on apex players cause you can just break it before it's up and get a brand new one). That is a STEAL. for just a $69 upgrade I think you can get the 2500 with Progressive Scan and all the features previously mentioned.

If you watch lots of SVCD and VCD's.. like I Do.. (over 200 in collection). then this player rocks. returned 3 models before finally getting this one.
