Toshiba SD-5980 vs Samsung Hd-850

which would you go for ? I have a 51" ultravision HDTV CRT projector tv (bulky). i had the samsung hd-931 (1st generation) and alot of things were good, but there were way too many bugs (i suspect because its the first of its kind).

anyways, i dont care about media card readers or xvid/svcd/vcd much

but DVD-R and DVD+R playback is essential, as is good picture and audio. thanks
oh and i'd like a dvd player that has a good remote, with good ir range (mine is like shooting darts as many have called it)
