EM rlsed a "svcd dvdscr", and I wasnt that impressed with that rip as I still think it was sourced from the old LD rips we saw back in the day. From the sample this seems to be on par with the Vite rls of V and VI (which at least for ROTJ I noticed the new scene with Anakin), but I guess we really wont know for sure until retail comes.

ive seen all movies pre retail. Elitemedias release was too good qual to b a laserdisc rip.

Take another look at the jpg.. its now edited to show you and others the difference between the shit EM pumps out and oh. wait an actual dvdrip. Can you see now the New jabba model and the guy in frame behind him.. sigh.

I'm having a problem with this release. Maybe its only my problem (I dont see anybody else complaining), but its strange cause I dont have any problem playing other videos.

The video is just 'flickering', its like im missing half the frames. It does seem te be a rip of the new dvd's. (seen the new jabba)

Im hoping for another vite release.. those work great.

...i thought i remember the deathstar being round...

i think done over cropped it, and its stretched the picture, or its not ment to be a 2:35 ar?

either that or the original 'new' dvd sucks!!

im definately waiting to see if vite releases an internal of ep4, because i hope they'll do a better job...?

any thoughts?

if this is a ar screwup, then id rate 6/9/7

apart from cd2 being undersized badly, it looked quite sharp and crisp. pity.

I'm having the same problem with BSplayer. I think it's a certain setting in the encoding process. I've seen it before & use Videolan on those rips.
