Question Just a question...

Ok.. You know how you have to convert and all that stuff and you have to find out what dvd plays in a certain dvd player like dvd- dvd+ whatever...

There is this guy who sells bootleg dvd's and they play in all dvd players.. How is this? Because not all dvd formats play in one player.. because id like the dvds that i burn to be playable in my dvd player.. Can someone help me out on finding the answe i been everywhere to find this answer so please help me out???...
Is it that theres new technology or somethin??
Thanks

A "pressed" DVD should work in any player. A "burned" DVD on +/-R(W) will only work on players that can read the disc - see the player list at videohelp.com.

Pirate DVDs illegally pressed in an Asian bootleg factory will work just the same as a legit retail pressed DVD - but obviously more chance of manufacturing defects, etc.

It also comes down to what dye is used on your DVDRs. Personally I'd recommend using -R disks and try Datawrite cos their dye seems to be compatible with just about anything.

Oh, and tell your "Chav Scum" friend that people who sell warez deserve AIDS

Originally in the 1980's it was an abbreviated term for copied software but it's been bastardised to mean basically anything downloadable and illegal nowadays.

as long as we're in a generic question topic, anyone else have problems with cd/dvd labels fading?

i hadnt played my ps2 since my son was born, dusted it off to try out some new rips, and found my old labeled disks had faded pretty badly...

now im starting to question whether to stick with a sharpie or go for a disk printer...

any comments?
