Need help with movie I have.

Hi, First time posting in here...A Newbie to this forum but not a newbie with these types of movies. My question is I have a movie that I got from a newsgroup in which is great quality and I don't know if I can name it in here so I wont. Anyways, It's 4.3 gigs big and the files are Mpeg. Runs great on the computer and amazing quality. I used nero to put it on a DVD and when I put it in my DVD play the movie runs but looks like someone puts the vertical hold nob up on the TV, picture just rolls really fast. What causes this and how do i fix it? My DVD player plays all of my other DVD's that I make great with never a problem till now?

It's almost certainly an NTSC/PAL mismatch... If your TV or DVD can't handle a signal from another part of the world, it typically scrolls like fuck. You don't say whereabouts you are but either reencode it to your local TV format or try your existing movie on a TV/DVD that doesn't suck

Thanks for the info...My location is south florida and I'll reincode it. Already have a nonsucky tv/dvd player

As for the OP, it looks like you've got a PAL disc. If you've got a none sucky tv/dvd player you may have an NTSC/PAL button hiding somewhere that'll switch the mode for you. Have a gander.
