I got a question. Hows come all new pre-groups release in bulk and never put in bitrate used? Never fails...

I kinda wanna see this movie, but affraid to download it.

Is it worth it?

Posted by Jassll on 12-21-2005 03:27 AM:

Exactly. WTF is the point of making an nfo if it has no information on it? Its nice to know if its untouched, encoded - if so how much, any extras - if so which ones?

It can't be that hard to do.

First, it has to be a reencode, the source is a dvd9 and the movie takes more than half of that disc. Second, isn't this release a dupe. "12/17/2005 DVDRIP Undiscovered MPTDVD " -Vcdquality.com The MPTDVD release is also WS and no nuke, why the dupe?

I serious doubt their using CCE too. I just looked at 1 JKR release I downloaded. Discovered this with DVDInfo.

Volume Name DARK_WATER_UNRATED
Application id ELBY CLONEDVD
Implementation id ELABORATE BYTES

Can't get bitrate with one-clickers.

From CloneDVD webpage
http://www.elby.de/products/clone_dvd/index.html

"A special transcoding technology compresses your choice of DVD titles according to your audio and language selection automatically to a freely adjustable target size."

Damn it, I knew I was d/l crap with this group, wondered why the pic looked like crap.

Not saying Clone DVD was/wasn't used on Dark Water, but that info comes from the program that made the iso, not necessarily the one that reencoded/transcoded (whichever the case may be) the VOBs. I think the main reason Dark Water looked like dick is the 600 MB of blank screen that was left in the VIDEO_TS.vob.

Question is....

Why would you use professional tools to encode it/mux it/edit it, then turn around and use a shrink program to iso it?

Makes no sense if thats the case. Plus I'm sure that shrink program wont let you edit menu items on VIDEO_TS.VOB files.

But then again AFAIK CloneDVD doesn't let you remove menu buttons. For my personal encodes I encode DVD's with CCE but I use CloneDVD to ISO it.

BTW I think MPT's rls of this looks better...

I actually got an Ashlee Simpson movie named after one of her songs I need some serious psych help.

BUT, I didn't get this one, I got the MPT. This should be nuked for dupe. 3 days later than MPT (as Pablo said). There really is no defence for this one, and I wonder why almost everyone didn't notice the MPT release... Ah well.
