Video: 7 (A bit pixelated but nothing noticeable, also a bit of a small flicker)

5... its really washed out, all the darker colours just come out as some light gray. bit of an angle to it too, doesnt look too cropped though.


audio -

7... definitely direct, pretty clear for the most part but for some reason its quite hard to hear lyrics in the music... in sync throughout.



movie - 10 ...feckin awesome

Video has washed out colors, and is a tad dark. Motion blur on the fast scenes. Some scrolling lines from top to bottom.
Audio is direct, but is hard to understand some of the dialogue and as stated above, its hard to understand the song lyrics.
Movie is just plain bad. I don't think i've ever given a movie a 1, but if anything deserves it....
It has a few funny scenes, but moslty its just vulgar, and gives you a headache. Maybe its geared towards people watching it while stoned?

I can't believe how misleading comments I heard about this release. I expected a complete washed out video so it would look almost B/W. It's somewhat dull yes, but there is color and it's not to bad. It isn't DVD quality, but it's a TS. The video is dull a bit, but overall it has decent color and you can enjoy the movie. There is some darkness, but overall it isn't as bad as it's been portrayed. The audio is flat with some distortion, but it doesn't have the cam hollow sound. Thanks dudes, you deserve more credit then you were given for this release.

How is this not nuked? How?

This could be a decent release. Could be, were it not for the fact that once again RUSTLERS F%$#ED UP THE VIDEO. The long and short of it is that they've performed a really, really bad IVTC to convert their 25fps cam video source to 23.976fps. The end result is that you have a skipped frame roughly every second. Sometimes this is noticeable, sometimes it isn't, but overall it's enough to make me turn it off and wait for a better release.

Other groups have been nuked for bad IVTC; I'm wondering why RUSTLERS is different. Then again, a lot of the scene refuses to recognize them as a real group. It's crap like this that makes me understand why.

Video: 3 - Without the nukeworthy horrible IVTC this might be okay. Vaguely okay. Video is blurry, cropped and at an angle. Colors are good and the motion blur is minimal, but that's about the best you can say for this release. I have seen worse; you can certainly understand what's going on visually, but it just looks... off.

Audio: 2 - On any other movie this audio might very well pass as good, somewhere in the 6 or 7 range. On this movie, however, the audio completely loses clarity on the most important parts: the songs. The opening song is okay until Meatloaf starts in, then you have no idea what's being said by anybody. It proceeds in much the same way for every other musical number I saw: soon as the music really picks up you have no idea what's being said.

Movie: ? - I could not stand this release long enough to watch the movie. Even if I could have I wouldn't have any idea what was going on.


Bottom line: RUSTLERS screws the pooch once again on what could have been an okay release. Wait for something better.
