Extras Christmas Special

How fucking funny was that. Best Scene Ever

Shame Gervais is knocking this series on the head now. Can't wait to see what he has up his sleeve for his next T.V series.

"Fuck off, I'm Clive Owen, that's mental."

best Christmas special I have watched... fucking great. So funny, and so tragic. He really is a great writer. Was a bit late onto Extras, but sat through both series just before the special, and I love the pug-nose fatso. He is a genius. I can't wait for his next project either. From some of the high rollers he got for extras from just 2 series... well, its just mental. Clive Owens scene was superb.

The sandwich sketch broke me up, it's just so typical. Also the Dr Who spoof and the sideswipes at Catherine Tate. This is the first Extras I've liked since Episode 1 of the second series.

The Office = Wank
Extras = Pretty good
Extras Christmas Special = Not seen it
Gervais = Smug cunt who needs his face kicking off

Seriously, I hate myself for liking Extras because of that overweight, red faced slimey, simpering, publicity-seeking snatchfearer.

You really do need to see the Christmas Special. His character pretty much deals with everything you list there as the focal humour points of the show.

What exactly has Ricky Gervais done that makes him particularly 'Publicity-seeking'? I mean apart from making award winning shows and making fucking hilarious acceptance speeches and stand up comedy. It's not like he bowls out of nightclubs everynight with cocaine plastered across his septum and page 3 birds hanging off his arm. He doesn't do any adverts for easy money and I am sure he gets millions of offers. He doesn't do the things he makes fun of in other celebrities in the Xmas special, he has class.

The guy is a genius and if you slag off my Hero again I'm gonna thump you so hard and stuff.

But we agree that he's a "overweight, red faced slimey, simpering snatchfearer" yeah? I'll add narcissistic cockmangler to the list as well... He's a fucking nob who has a talent, I'll give him that. But that's akin to saying Hitler had a talent for genocide - it might be funny and makes great TV but i don't have to like Hitler because of it.

The only bit of the show I didn't get was "Lisa Scott-Lee". Who the hell was that? If they'd said "Lisa from Steps" I would have understood the "Tragedy" reference away. Also a former gay DJ (who didn't like the show very much) had to explain to me what the arm waving was all about.

The Deutscher Gruß, (German Greeting) or in English known as the Nazi salute is a variant of the Roman salute, adopted by the Nazi Party as a sign of loyalty to its leader Adolf Hitler.
