newb question
im in the uk, if i dl a dvdrip that has in the title, the region code or whether its pal or ntsc, when i burn the image to a disc will it still be the same region as it was in the title?
when you convert it, just set it in preferences.......
to your region
if you dl a pal..............its pal

If it's a DVD rip, the region coding will be stripped and it'll be region free so no need to convert.
the ones i dl are the full .img or iso files so they will be stripped then??
thanks

nice 1 thanks for your help
What about the format though? It will be region free but if your equipment (if it's shit) can't display NTSC in a PAL region for example, you're still going to have problems... Although the chances are that's unlikely but if your equipment isn't region free, who knows what formats it can't support as well
Very unlikely to be a problem, TBH - even with shit equipment.
There is still the occasional scene rip where the group has forgotten to remove the region-coding. Running it through DVD Shrink will remove it along with empty audio and subpicture tracks. Takes about two minutes.
cool thanks.
