Xbox 360 drives

Does anyone know if xbox drives are interchangeable. My sons has a busted samsung and I want to know if I can chuck a liteon in it.Thank you.

The disc drive itself? You can swap drives, but you have to spoof them.

Spoof 360 DVD Drives.

Spoof Hitachi/Samsung DVD Drives.

I wouldn't suggest spoofing for another drive [that isn't the same brand as the one you currently have]. I've heard that Microsoft can detect this (and you could potentially get banned).

Plenty of chippers sell them but I've no experience of using them myself I'm afraid...

We swapped and spoofed the drive with no problems cheers OSH.
