Better than the TS

Good video but sound sucks

I thought this had to be fake after seeing the shitty xanax release however i just grabbed the sample and its beautiful.

Very crisp colors, perfectly clear audio, super fast speed for a TC of this quality. AR/Res/Crop appears correct (no short/fat or tall/thin ppl or missing heads). Audio from sample is synced perfect.

Only reason its not a 10 in both, i believe TC = 10/10 when its indistinguishable from the DVD aside from cigarette burns.

Updated with over half of movie watched:

Video stays vibrant in day time scenes however in dark areas it suffers the same washed out grayness as the XanaX release and is kinda hard to watch everything.

New Video Rating (for a TS): 8.0

Audio is kind of hard to hear voice clearly on my 5.1 digital system, the audio being heavily filtered sounds good and has great bass but the voice is kind of swallowed up from it.

The sample is in sync some where after 40 minutes or an hour the movie goes horribly out of sync we're talking atleast 2s delay if not upwards of 5s.

New Audio Rating: 6
(would have been 7-8 if it wasnt for horrible sync issue)

I am now replacing CD2 with PUKKAs TS as the Sync issue makes movies unwatchable for me.

video - 6 - its not a telecine, i havent seen any heads but its obvious none the less that this is a half decent telesync. theres a flicker, and all the other symptoms of cam video


audio - 5 - sounds direct to me, still pretty shit tho. a very top end hiss which they could have easily removed but didnt also ive noticed it drifts in and out of sync throughout the film, which is something that pisses me off no end.

appreciate the effort dank but seriously, check the vid before you release... claiming tc just makes you look like cocks.

The movie been out a week, i think its too soon to get a telecine copy of a blockbuster hit. One thing the reel has to be taken from a theater thats not using it or that wont report it missing, then has to have time to be played and captured. Then a group will have to splice 2 channel audio with it and get it in sync, and release it before anyone else has. I'll take a look at it and see if its true about what most have said or if its just a great real tc.

Its a mislabled TS (a guy is walking across the screen at aprox. 48.25 min of cd1, like stated before). Nice quality TS though. Very watchable. No sync problems found yet.

I smoked some bad gonja or something dude.. cuz this rls reminds me alot of batpoo and hydro's rls... but not a guy throwing his camera into a paper bag it sounded like.
btw, what if I was able to get a cam into a theater, with dimmed lights (enouph to see around you) throughout the whole movie.. would I essentially get a better picture capture?

Video: 8, somewhat cropped along bottom edge...didn't look that bad otherwise

Audio: 5.5, hiss through most of the movie, a lot of sync issues especially into 2nd disc

Movie: Great! See it!

Video is definitely a TS, as you can see by the head after the logo screen, and again at 48 minutes. AR is good, but bars are very wide. Colors are nice, with very little blockines.

Audio is direct, but not the greatest. Dialogue is very low, and those of you who have monster speakers will notice the bass hum, and the heartbeat of bass that is previlant. Some FM static towards the end of CD2. Some other minor glitches and pops. Many scenes are badly out of sync though. CD2 is the worst starting around 21 minutes. It comes and goes, but it is very annoying. Whats with the voice over at the title screen? I'm assuming the beeps are where they interlaced the English audio and the Russian??

Movie was very good. I can't wait for the third. Great effects, and good story. Bring on POTC3!

video is awesome for a TS. audio goes horribly out of sync several times during the movie, mostly in the last 30 mins (sometimes up to 1 sec) but is corrected. audio also has a bad hiss in the beginning but gets better and some pops and crackles later in the movie. movie was disappointing.

okayish quality - still mislabeled cam.

Audio is badly out of sync on some parts of CD2 especially toward the end.

It's missing a 2 min scene on CD 1 at 0:56:06 where Will Turner goes aboard the wrecked ship. Skips the whole scene and goes straight to where the Flying Dutchman appears.

The video is clear and apart from the sync issues and missing scene it would have been a solid release

watched this for about 15 minutes on the TV tonight...

The audio isn't horrible. but the hiss gets annoying and at times a bit hard to hear the actors. Thats why I shut it off - plus, I liked the first one, figure I'll go see this in the theater.

The video is quite good, especially for a movie thats mostly dark. I suspect someone will proper this one with some decent audio and it'll make for a good release.

well where do i start. i know al start with the sync issues as its terrible its in and out of sync thru the whole movie. its definitely not a TC so al only rate it as a TS

have you checked out the telesync xvid by pukka looks ok but i have not seen the dank rls so i am not sure if its the same source.

maVen IS No1, they are the TS XviD KINGS.

Pukkas seems the best all round but still its very dark, hard to make out anything in the night scenes.

How can ppl do a versus when different sources are used.

Since this was released as a TC it should be handled as such in my view.

people seriously need to watch a movie before they rate it you guys that posted in the begging seriously over rated the audio on this pos. the audio is so bad that it ruins the whole movie. you can barely make out what they say. the sample of this shit had me deceived because in the sample the audio isn't so bad but at the begging of the movie it suck. anyways im glad that pukka came out with a version with a bearable sound but this pos release has the worst sound of a tc ever.

Oh... I'm everything below is referring to the PUKKA internal which isn't shown on VCDQ... this DANK release and the other encodes were useless for my purposes...

The audio needed some Parametric EQ processing.. after that... NICE.....

Video surprisingly good.. just a little lightening up and now voila...

any 1 hear the 2 pc errors in the begingn?

Started watching and Video was good but audio was very bad and goes out of sync.

So I downloaded the 'pukka' release and I would say the video is the same maybe a bit brighter and the audio is much better.
