Excellent Job Centropy! Centropy has taken a giant leap toward their goal of creating the perfect TS. The video is crisp and the audio is amazing as usaul. Keep up the good work guys. I don't know what we did without centropy.

Going from samele, 9/8/? I'll def. grab this one. Was waiting for a better release before I grabbed this movie. And I agree if they put a password on it and put the password in the NFO then there isn't much reason to nuke it.

Centropy is now my new favorite rls group. TCF is now 2nd.

BTW, those who are crying because Centropy password protected it, if you read the NFO it tells you the password.

From Sample

Looks like centropy have gone back to there old supplier from last summer of have gone back to the same theatre. The picture is full screen cause the black letterbox bars have not been added to the picture, hence the statement about the boom mic's in the nfo and there visibility in the release.

Apart from that good video, wouldn't say it is brilliant (unless the rest of the release proves me wrong).

Audio is just standard TS, my ears are not professionally tuned to tell you if it is good or not.

There is a slight angle to the movie again and the sound is slightly muffled. But it's a nice release......

Are you kidding with the boom mic thing? Why on earth would anyone put a boom mic on the screen of a movie theater? The only audio that comes from the screen is the center channel.

Here is another possible explanation for the boom mics: Before a movie is "blocked", you can see the boom mics. Blocking is what adds the bars from the studio itself. An editor's workprint does not have the "blocking" in place and hence the boom mics that are used while filming the movie apear on screen. I can only assume that CTP uses editor's workprints in a private screening room.

If you look at the bottom of CTP's "Scooby Doo", you will also notice that some of the special effects are non-exsistent at the bottom of the screen. Again this is because special effect houses don't render what people won't see. This is refered as a "safe zone." This is also why it goes full screen.

Back on track, great video and audio judging from the sample.

Boom mics are from the actual film itself, when a movie is filmed obvously the sound crew uses mics etc to capture the actors voices, sometimes a boom mic will fall down into the cameras view. This is usually editied out for theatre/dvd releases, however it appears that whatever theatre ctp caps at has unmatted copies of the film which means that nothing has been cropped out (look to spiderman ts from last year, pic was fs, while special effects had ws). This is why you will see boom mics. Telesync means direct source, meaning audio jack etc, not mic, if they can capture this good audio with mics, then huge ass props to them.

And the fact that u said ctp uses silvers just shows how fucking stupid you are, for fucks sake, do u even know what a silver is? You do know that people will sell more then one copy of their bootlegs which means any one could get their hands on them, but yet ctp consistently releases movies of the same quality while no one else can get their hands on their silver source. ya...... right, ctp uses silvers, dumb fuck.

the boom mics are not from ctp camming, they r from the production, there is usually a matting screen in front of the projector to hide them, but if u remove it, to get the full picture, non cropped, u will see the boom mics, just like u did in all their other FS rls'..scooby doo, this, and a few others idk just ones i can think of..theres nothign wrong with it, i mean rofl wat do u see it for a split second, does it cuz ur eyes to hurt or sumtin? heh....amazing colors/amazing sound, i saw sum1 say its stolen soound, what an idiot, neway...it beats daddy day care..so i now say this is the best ts ever..10/10/8..movie was funny but not all up to its hype like i expected, but then agn i watched the vcdcentral shitty rls.

You know what, that is definetely a boom mic used in production of the film. If you freeze the frame in the sample, or watch it over a couple times it is obvious. I'm just not quite sure how they got the uncropped version of the film. Damn good work by centropy if you ask me. Hope they keep it up.

this movies quality is UNREAL. fullscreen and vibrant colors and great sound. i saw this movie in theatres and i couldnt stop laughing. most of it might have been on the commercials but after i needed some glue to glue my ass back on because i laughed it off. i went with my girlfriend and she was laughing her ass off too. you really need to see this in theatres with friends to truley experience! 9/9/9

In the sample the sound is OK, certainly good enough for a comedy and the picture seems fine.

I just finished getting CD1 and all I can say is: great job Centropy! <--This really is my idea of a (almost) perfect telesync... wow. 9/9/8. I thought this was a hilarious movie, although they did have many of the funny parts in the commercials.

For those of you unsure about how CTP capture audio, I am reliably informed that they use empty baked bean tins with string attached - they then anchor the other end of the string to the speakers. Other groups go to similar lengths, sWs for example hire professional impersonators and get them to read the script, this is then dubbed back over the video which is captured on Polaroid stills and then played back as a flipbook and filmed with a camcorder.

damn nice quality, watched the sample and saw the boom mics, too. i remember them in centropy's ts of resident evil. but these cannot be from ctp because they are in focus. that means they are in the same distance as the screen. if they werent they wouldnt be focused on...
but well, ctp must be having 2 TS suppliers. 1. who did matrix reloaded and most of the others and 2. the one who did daddy day care and this one.

probably the best ctp ts this year, i am glad i threw away that internal with the crappy sound without watching it, waiting for this was worth it. Movie was ok, nothing special.

ok, im not saying its a boom mic but what about the scene in the movie after bruce leaves the place where he met god, the part where it shows him on the highway driving from above. there is the disturbance in the corner on that scene so i dont think they would use a boom mic from a helicopter

I, unlike most of these people, have actually watched this entire release, and I didn't even notice the boom mics. But when they are there are they during a scene when Bruce or a reporter is "Live"? Because I did notice a sound guy for the Buffalo news Live Truck carrying a boom mic (before the marijuana incident).
