Terminator 3: Rise Of The Machines *SVCD* - TELESYNC - TCF

might as well be first person to make a comment about this release but still awaiting some more info and jpg image as well hopefully will outbeat the other two lame releases just for being a telesync!!

good quality, best so far, but not good enough to not see propers. The picture is ok, but not the best, like their 8 Mile, but better than UMS and APM. The sound is good too. The movie of course... kicks ass. 7/7/10

Posted by LiMPiNg on 07-05-2003 05:21 AM:

Due to the high standard of other groups I will have to give it a lower score for pic. But audio is nice and clear and is well done.

I see someone up there whos gonna get banned. But anyway this is a decent release. Tcf is getting on fire lately. If u want to see it and can't wait this one would work for ya. Nice sound and decent pic. From sample 6.5/7/9. Movie is really really good.

Posted by JPass on 07-05-2003 05:28 AM:

Excellent release for the short amount of time it took to make it. The pic could be better, but I'm definitely not complaining. Sound is alright, could be better too, all and all, not a bad release, much much better then UMS and APM.

7.5/7/8.5 props

Posted by rappa on 07-05-2003 05:31 AM:

ok release, pretty quick, one with decent sound, altho the colors are washed out and to me it feels like im watching black and white? the sound is superb nothing wrong, no hiss which is a first from tcf i might add, and pretty quick...6/9/x, it also doesnt seem zoomed in neither which is a + so u get the whole screen, but due to probably getting the full screen, the colors are horrible and theres no sharpness, so i dont suggest this as a first watch cuz the movie is gettin rave reviews.

TCF stick with what you do best VHS SCR sorry but your not that great at TS

Thumbs up

Unexpected surprise from TCF! Who'd have thought that a screener group would bring us the first watchable T3??? Audio is excellent, and the picture is solid. Not very colorful, and it's a tad dark, but it's also sharp and perfectly framed (i.e. not cropped to hell and back). So far, the movie's a rehash. 7/8/?

Personally, I always value a good quality new release (which this is) more than I do a VHS screener of a movie that was already fine quality 2-3 months earlier. I'm stunned that TCF did this, and hope they do it again! THANKS GUYS.

Posted by Dirty on 07-05-2003 06:38 AM:

Definately the best release of T3 so far.

Video is ok but the color isnt very strong. Has a black and white feeling to it. Sound is ok. Atleast one can understand what is being said, according to the sample.

Watchable.. watchable... =)

Good job.

...not that is matters but I'm pretty sure I've either heard or read it referred to as BOTH an 800 and 850 ...movie land boo boo

Anyway, looks good enough for a TS....any others would and should be dupes cause the quality is fine...doesn't need a proper...

i'm giving it an 8 for video. why? well for starters, there's NO MOTION BLUR. 90% of cams/ts's these days have horrible motion blur. this release? NONE. you don't know how gratifying that is.

sure it's a little on the blurry side. not that bad at all. and the colors are just a tad faded. overall very nice TS.

Welp, just finished watching the whole thing.

Colors a little bland.
No angle.
Audio perfect except a slight hum on the silent kenel scene with her and john in the cage. No biggie.
No credits, cuts off at the end.
Kinda bright and flickers on day scenes.

All on 2 cds, couldnt ask for better.

Good Job TCF.

[rant mode on]Well , The sample looked pretty good to me so I figured I would grab the whole release , but just mounted cd1 with daemon and tried it with four differant players and its a no go , 2 players just crashed , 1 gave me picture with no sound complaining about there being no codec , and power DVD said unsupported format , still grabbing CD2 now but the sample worked ok.

Dont know whats going on here :/

*update* Just been told by someone who has the same problem to use vcdgear to convert it to an mpeg and it works , converting now....

It works

[rant mode off]

Not bad at all for the first REAL TS out there since UMS's was total garbage, there will be many releases to follow as the nfo said but props to TCF for getting out a decent release so quickly. It seems to me every TS (video wise) has it's flaws, you either get no angle with dullish colors but almost all of the screen (TCF/loGiSTiC/NOX) or angled bright colors with 40% of the screen cropped (CTP/Pv) which is why I usually wait for screeners but anyway, good job. 7/7/8

Why is it so bright ????? it only it doesn;t have a white netting over the video it would be great. Anyways better than UMS and APM's release though.

Posted by Corrado on 07-05-2003 10:24 AM:

Sound seems quite good from the sample. AS for the video, if you leave it on default settings, it looks pretty bad...but if you turn down that little button that says brightness it looks much better. More than watchable, with just a bit of a grain to put you off.

dunno if i just watched a diff smaple to u chaps, but there is an angle, u can tell from the credits on the right side.dunno how this will affect the film, but when u notice the angle u see how the womans head is also at a slight angle.

Colours are faded, but sound is pretty good, but whoever said everyone will have seen this release buy the time ctp release something is a glory hunter - sorry, but i cant think of a better saying - blatantly TcF are good, but thats with screeners, logistic or even Uti (although that`ll be a bit far off) should be able to do a more vibrant version. and we all know CtP will have the best release, why does everyone knock them? they may take longer to release, but at least u know they will have it good, and it`ll last till a dvd rip.
toodles.

Very nice, good pic (A little dark) and good quality sound. As someone mentioned there probably won't be a proper... but that hasn't stopped groups of late, there'll just be hundreds of internals etc.

Posted by parasiticgann on 07-05-2003 12:08 PM:

To whoever said turn the brightness down, Yeah I did that, and your right it does look much better, I did it before on the tv, but didn't try it on the pc using my tv out, Now this is pretty watchable. Thanks man.

Yeah, it seems like there is an angle to it, when you watch the credits, Since I havn't watched the whole thing yet, I don't know if it will affect the whole movie or not. We'll find out.

Posted by Phantasm on 07-05-2003 12:09 PM:

From the sample I voted 8/9/?

I pretty much agree with everyone else, the picture is good. Its a little bit grainy. It is also dark and bright at the same time (if that makes any sense at all). The audio is good.

I am Looking forward to watching the whole movie.

Just my 2 cents.

Props to TCF for making the term "Land of the Free" make sense on the 4th of July !!!!

Posted by Neversoft on 07-05-2003 01:22 PM:

From the sample, above average for a TS but there's been lots of "above average" TS's out there recently. Pic is pretty nice although the contrast is a little off, audio is good... Basically, there's nothing really wrong with this release and if you have to see this movie ASAP and can't see it in the cinema - this will do.

Me? I'll hang back a few days and see what happens...

7/8/hopefully, kick-ass.

PS- DO IT AGAIN AND YOUR BANNED.

Yeah Chuff, that scene's probably an 45minutes/an hour in the movie.. it comes shortly after the Sarah Connor grave scene.

BTW just got CD1.. anyone else's missing a cue image? Then again the version I DLed was 811mb..

EDIT: ROFL ROFL nm.. I noticed the cue file..

very VERY watchable.. Sure the clolour is a little dull, but still great !!!

8.5/9/9

Posted by psyche on 07-05-2003 04:34 PM:

I just finished watching this release and I must say that it's well above average for TS, everything was audible although there was a slight buzz in the silent scenes of CD1. Video was slightly grainy but great if you use PowerDVD's vivid mode, overall very watchable for a TS and as for the movie itself... Some things could have been done differently but I liked it anyway, props again but I won't be dling any other version until the screener/dvdrip after this. And for the love of god, please stop comparing every TS to another groups TS and judge them as overall telesyncs, all these fanboy comments are getting old.

Posted by Scorch on 07-05-2003 05:08 PM:

CTP doesn't release everything.. take what you can get.. I hope CTP releases this tomorrow but it turns out to be gay pr0n just so you lamers can get one handed to ya..

anyways I got CD1 working with PowerDVD.. sound worked once, but when I fast forwarded, lost sound.. now sound won't work at all.. picture is a little dark (maybe my monitor needs turning up) and I heard a pretty noticible loud buzzing, but then again it's probably because my headphones are up loud..

7/7.5/10 based on full movie

Posted by miiister on 07-05-2003 05:57 PM:

pretty good release...best yet for sure..
but when i ffw'd the sound got unsynced... and also there is a slight reverb on it....
picture is good, not too dark i think.

I had it all planned to spend this weekend out with the mrs and watch this at the cinema, but then i checked the dates and it aint opening here until aug 1st.

so that blew that idea, so I have downloaded it.

If they want to combat piracy then they should think about opening the movies at the same time, rather than leaving countrys that speak the same native language over a month.

I will still go and ee this at the cinema, because a Terminator movie should be experianced that way, but I wouldnt be pirating the movie now if it had opened this week

anwyays to the TCF copy, superb, a little to bright, but very little cropping that i can see off.

I cant comment to much on the sound sync issues ause i have it burnt and ready to watch tonight, I hope it ist there as some people havent had problems and some have, but thanks TCF for the first watchable version.

Video is pretty good for a TS; the colors are so-so, and it looks like the video was ran through a temporal smoothing filter a few times to reduce noise. It's also a bit too bright.

Sounds is very clear, but there's an annoying buzz that turning down the trebble doesn't really fix.

The movie was good, but T2 was better. See it at the cinema first. It's worth it.

TCF did a great job. I will not be downloading CTP's this time because their improvements could only be so minor.

It's simple.... which ever group comes out first with a high quality release get's my vote. TCF pulled it off on this one.

If they keep this up, they will have reached the bar that CTP established. Besides, I never was really into only having one god. The best things in life always come in pairs.

Oh, and nice to see at least 3 bans for this thread. N00bs should do plenty of reading before posting (which includes the forum rules).

Posted by Muzak on 07-06-2003 09:57 AM:

one thing ill never understand though...

WHY IN THE BLUE HELL IS THIS LABELED A SVCD!!! i did all caps for one reason, its fuckin tiresome, lol. why cant groups just label their shit right? it wont deter people, and if it does, so what!! this is vcd, not svcd. the time per cd says so, and my stand alone says so, so why cant they? or at least the people that add the movie to the listings here. i know its not a huge deal, but its just one of those things that sticks in my craw, lol. but yeah, i doubt i will mess off with the centropy version. after playing with the video settings for all of a minute, i had a very nice looking pic on mah tv.

Hi guys, have just finished downloading TCF's T3 & as with at least one other post, I have been unable to mount the bin/cue onto my virtual drive. Only after extracting the mpeg using Vcdgear I have been able to watch the film.

I give the film

7.0 / 7.5 / 8.0 when played through my TV & Hi-Fi and

6.5 / 6.0 / 8.0 off the pc.

I know this is a little off topic but there is no thread in the forum, any burning tips. I have tried burning the bin/cue with no success and also buring the extracted mpegwith partial success.

If you're using Daemon Tools and PowerDVD then mount the bin then use file mode to play the dat file in the virtual drive, I burnt this just fine with CDRWin though. Nero is a no no with multisession. And to extract the mpeg use vcdgear with fix mpeg error off or extract using isobuster.

Good pic, good audio, and I thought the movie was good as well.
I seen the sample from Centropy as well after I saw this release but I won't be bothering getting the whole movie again, this was very watchable imo.

It gets 7/7/8 from me

Posted by dalton4life on 07-06-2003 06:10 PM:

Pretty decent pic and the hum wasn't that bad. Audio sounds full so I don't notice the hum too much. Colors seem a bit dull. I won't bother getting the centropy version since I am sastified with this version and and any improvements probably wouldn't be worth the download. Didn't watch the movie yet but I'll do so tonight.

7.5/8/? I hope 10

Wow - surprisingly good...

I just watched the entire thing last night (After I got back from seeing it at the theater), and I have to say - I'm impressed.

I haven't seen much from TCF other than screeners, but this is definately a good sign. The audio is perfectly acceptable, the pic is a tad washed out as far as colors, but the picture itself is sharp and has no motion blur. It's very watchable.

Good job, TCF...

7/8/7

Not too bad. I'll give it a 7/7/8.

Would be better if the black level of the camera was set to be correct for a black piece of film, and the iris set for a clear piece of film. These will make the colors look more saturated, and prevent the blown out highlights. Also set the white balance to the clear film, and adjust black balance with the black film (if you have manual control of those things). Also sounds like there is an impedance mis-match or balanced to un-balanced problem with the audio (the buzz). Work those things out and you will have 9's and 10's. But good job.

T3

My First post....so here goes
8/7/7
....

::Next time try to post something meaningful about the release. -K::

Watched part of the first cd this morning, the crane chase scene is awesome, Ctp's sample looks alot better colorwise, theres alot of light flickering in TCF's annoys the shit outta me.
Sound has annoying hum but on tv not as bad, Looks good in "sports" mode on the Wega
Looks like a must see theater movie cause this doesnt do justice for the chase scenes
7/7/9

resolution doesnt mean anything, you can encode divx in that.

After wathinc the fisrt 10minutes of the movie ive noticed that there is exsecive brightness and tcf could have just fixed it by adjusting the contrast a little. other than that the sound seems ok expept for the buzz. anyway better than most other misslabled cams and silvers. 7/7/?

I watched this release twice so far and love it!
The audio is fair to good and there is no noticable angle and its not cropped alot. The colors are ok, maybe some dullness... I messed with the colors and contrast etc and it really makes this release look better.
This release was both bright and dark at the same time IMHO.

Great release TCF

Audio = 7-8
Video = 7.5-8.5 (Tweak the colors and contrast and saturation etc)
Movie = 10

Very good movie and love the story and the ending... look forward to T4

Please, please, please tell em that is sarcasm..
I don't want to believe that anyone could be that stupid.

As for the release, video is sharp (washed out colours to ad egree) and the sound has this annoyingly loud buzz, but turning down the treble did wonders for sorting it out.

7/7/?

Posted by typesdragon on 07-07-2003 11:45 PM:

Not cropping... definitely the best! The sound is not bad and the picture can be adjust a lot better if you play with your tv settings.

Posted by Kane2k on 07-08-2003 03:09 AM:

Nice.

Watched part fo the first cd and I was impressed. The picture looked a little washed out but I think it can be fixed with a little tweaking. As some other people mentioned there seems to be a format problem with the SVCD. I mounted the bin/cue with Alcohol and PowerDVD doesn't recognize the disk. It can however play the .mpg file. Anyway... 7/7/?

Posted by ivortheinjun on 07-08-2003 11:06 AM:

Pic is pretty good considering the source - it generally looks like worn out video, but is clear and very watchable. My main gripe is that there is occasional motion blur, and the focus very occasionally seems to pulse in parts of the frame (generally when there's very little movement onscreen, which is odd). The image is ever-so-slightly grainy, a fact emphasised by the fact that the picture generally is too bright (particularly a problem as the film is so dark). Turning brightness down and contrast up made the world of difference, which makes me wonder why this wasn't done to the file itself prior to release.

Audio is generally very good, although the slight hum makes playing it through my home cinema amp slightly irritating (through 6 speakers it's more than just a slight hum). Through TV only it's actually pretty great though, and again it's akin to the sort of thing you'd expect to hear from a well-played VHS cassette. The spoken word is very clear, and effects sound suitably impressive. I second the point Corrado made about turning down the treble, although this does make the dialogue sound pretty flat, so I preferred to let my ears get used to it.

On the whole, a good release. I was put off by the angle of the Centropy effort, and I'm glad I tried this out. There isn't a massive amount of room for anyone else to improve on this. A bit of thought with the pic and sound levels prior to release could've made this the definitive release for the time being.

7/8/8

PS - This burned absolutely fine with Nero. It actually burned quicker than a 55 min audio CD!

Angry changing the colors

I cant f*cking change the saturarion and brightness. When I change the bar in Media player it pops back to its original position.

Very good copy good movie too 8/8/8

I prefer this to the Centrophy copy as the angle is not as bad, though the image appears slightly muted and grainy but this is a good thing as it enhances the reaslism; as the 'grainy' look did not Saving Private Ryan

well, gonna get flamed (newbie and all..) but here´s my 2 cents:

i think this release is far superior to ctp´s for many reason. first of all, the angle, or lack of it. ctp´s infamous angle really bothers me.. second thing, the overall color balance, tcf´s one might not have as vivid colors as in ctp´s one, but at least there is no pumping in colors, ie. bright scenes being really really bright and dark scenes too dark, like in charlies angels full throttle ctp ts. imho that really really sucks! now this is going to get me banned i think but allmost all ctp´s newer ts´s are kinda bad for reasons explained abowe.

oh, btw, again, these are just my personal opinnions.. and yes, we get these for free, so i shouldnt bitch about, and yes, i could make my own version if i think i could do it much better.. but hey, at least i got my self to register to the forum instead of just lurking around for ages...

and one last thing, sorry about possibly bad english, this aint my native language.

Picture was a little on the bright side, but it wasn't real bad. Audio was average. The movie itself was disappointing...definitely not a Cameron

What's with CTP putting out a dupe? ...not like their's was all that better.

will there be a terminator 4? and i thought the movie wasnt as good as T2, although still very good. the audio was good, as was the picture.

OK I'm not really gonna comment much about this movie, but the action scenes are gr8.
