50 First Dates *NTSC* - DVDRIP - booZerS

I will start with this is a very good release. Untouched video, but nestled with a really poor choice of extras. Most of the useless trailers are kept, and everything in the extras department was cut except for a single deleted scene. The list of trailers is really LONG, and really stupid stuff too. If you want trailers, check www.apple.com/trailers. Total trailers amount is 460megs, I am sure it could have been used in more productive ways.

Video 10/10 - Looks great. Much better than the Secret Window video quality (and that movie is also a Columbia Tristar release just like this one). The video is excellent!

DVD-R 8/10 - I would have used my extra space in more productive ways, like ALL the deleted scenes instead of keeping all 13 trailers!! But I don't care much for extras, so it doesn't bother me much. But still a waste regardless. Either way, good job!

There's a very good guide on how to jump trailers and stuff here: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=50245

I'm a noob at jumping opening trailers but got so fed up with groups leaving them that I had to learn how to jump them.

2Cool's 'changing the Pre commands' trick works very well. I've used it quite a few times now. Once the trailer(s) has been 'cleanly' jumped (no attempt has been made to play it eg. not even to show a black screen VOB file of a few frames) it can be replaced with a dummy VOB of a few K. A quick Get VTS Sectors in IFoEdit and everything's fine.

If I can jump trailers and I'm a noob (I've never ripped a DVD movie before and don't know yet how to use CCE) how come these top guys can't?

Including trailers and wasting valuable space HAS TO STOP (sorry for shouting).

Man this was getting to be a good discussion, and vcq had to step in. What a shame. Probably why these forums no one posts.

Good release (blah blah blah)... Only thing were allowed to say in a communistic forum.

Hehe... I wonder who was flamed I'm thinking 75% chance it was me Real dangerous posting your opinions in these forums...

I do feel flaming is not needed to make a point, so we'll see... My post was deleted also (flame free, dunno why it had to go).

There will be another release coming up and the same people will battle it out with the exact same points each time I need to work on some new material

Ya, what good is a disscussion board if you can't speak your mind. I definatly didn't flame either, but yet everything was deleted. So I'm guessing any negitive responce like (no,never, don't,can't,won't) will send out the vcdq forum police to delete your responce. So we must talk like drones with the same response, (like reading a Flair release thread) LoL

No phun intended, it's just getting old this whole editing crap, and it's time to say something about it.

PS: No flames were stated in the above statement.

PSS: 50 first dates played great, no problems 8/10/7 (post clause)

This is the first time that I actually saw messages deleted here. And usually it's just the message that caused the problem is deleted, not most of the thread.

PS: Flair is great... They release the funniest stuff. Did you get the latest Vanilla Ice release HAHA So painful to watch.

yeah it was all in good fun. honestly i wasn't going to post again but saw you guys did. no one was flaming but were rather having a mature discussion about releases. i stand by my 10/10/8 for both the 50 first dates release and also secret window.

Just got this release and the chapters are off by one chapter.

Click on the second chapter that is titled with Rob Schneider's characters name and it will play the opening.

Quality rocks, but it is ashamed this was not checked before being released.

wow...EVERYTHING before the main menu should have been deleted IMO. what were BooZerS thinking? it takes sooo long to get to the menu! i would have also really liked to see the extras in there instead of the trailers.

that being said, the video looks perfect. i give props for the quality there.

Video - 10/10 can't ask for more there
DVD-R - 5/10 menu should've popped up right away/ trailers ripped out/ extras left in (even if quality had to be lowered in order to save the main movie quality)
