haha nuked for ac3 2ch audio that is the lamest thing yet :P

mp3 = 2ch Downsampled which is ok
ac3 2.0 isnt downsampled so is better

ac3 5.1 on a comedy over kill plus drops the video bitrate :P

alliance seems like they just hate losing races. my advice unnuke deity and add another dupe to alliance history

Don't get me wrong, I'm not a big fan of XviD. But isn't AC3 2.0 only left and right channels? Where mp3 has the full effects of left/right/center/rear left and right of 5.1 by utilizing all channels into 2 streams? But 5.1 is far superior in this case.

Yeah the guy above is correct, definetly way off.

mp3 and AC3 2.0 are both stereo tracks, but an AC3 192 soundtrack will sound better than an equivelant mp3 one, and will better preserve any Dolby Surround information.

I never knew this was a valid reason for a nuke, especially on a film of this length.

The only thing TDX prohibits is transcoding AC3, but probably DEiTY just used a VOB-included 2.0 track so no nuke.

Concerning propers: "Qualitative propers are not allowed, nor are propers based on decisions made by a ripper (i.e. # of CDs, AC3 or MP3, etc)." Meaning ALLiANCE's release is no proper but a nuke.

why bother wasting 2cds on a 2.0 channel soundtrack. Deity screwed up and deserves to be nuked imo.

Yeah, i agree! Make it 1 cd with mp3 than OR make full use of ac3 and do a nice 5.1 track like ALLiANCE did!

hmm.. winrar kept asking for .r48 on the second CD.. the file came out broken, and had to be played with VLC.

-=WoW=-, just saw the sample and getting this down to Holland right now; djeezz, what a useless conversation, BUT: thanks to the ever so helpfull posts that describe a little (in this case spot on!) how audio (in this case nice 5ch packed in 2, gnagnagna..;-)) 'moves' around with al these nice tools like AC3.

Less nasty: try to port whatever sound signal [duh, not the real stuff ladies -DTS-THX and the other digital forms prohibited!!] straight into your soundcard and look how many channels are active: guess what?
