Well there were a few other big issues than just that small patch apparently. Like crashing when play is selected from the main menu and crashing at the end of the movie.

Personally I already grabbed the other one so I am gonna re-author it manually (albeit without motion menus) and keep the untouched video and save bandwidth. I wish there was just a patch to fix the original version cause another 4.5 GB of download is not so appealing right now :P

Just checked out the IFOs & Menu Vob for this release same mistakes made in the jumps so the menu starts on the 3rd Cell but at least they left the play button alone this time so it should play when u hit play. Can't say about the encode cos I only grabbed one file!

This Mdvd encoding looks like shit, this repack almost looks interlaced. anyway the patch that was released for the original Rip works fine so this repack is a waste of time!

Heard this release is fubar'd to hell (interlacing issues). Time to go back to the first release and get a patch for that

porco556 and the rest there has been a proper released guys so all save your bandwidth and get the replica proper heres a snippet from the nfo.

Disenchanted with the movie industry, Chili Palmer (John Travolta)
tries the music industry, meeting and romancing a widow of a music

R i P P E R ' S N O T E S . . .

Main Movie .....:
ù Video - Untouched
ù Audio - English 5.1
ù Subs - English, French, & Spanish

Menu ...........:
ù Yes

Extras .........:
ù None

Ripped .........:
ù French 2.0, All Extras, 2 minutes and 10 seconds worth of end credits

Additional Notes .........:
ù Centropy's first release of this movie didn't work properly and their
repack was improperly encoded which resulted in poor quality/interlacing.
Might we recommend dummying removed extras/logos and reauthoring the video to
remove the credits, or using force film/ivtc instead of a deinterlacer
that blends fields and causes ghosting in scenes with motion? Hope you have
better luck next time fellas. Enjoy

All these propers are driving me nuts I guess this is why I just do it myself these days and save the hassle.

So the Replica version is a slightly better copy of the initial CTP release. So, why don't they just patch the damn initial CTP release!!

I know how to fix on of the remaining problems with the first release (shortening the sectors on the main movie to prevent the crash), but not sure about the play button fix. Any help?

OR, I can just get Replica's version and make this another 10 gig wammy download (in total... 4.37 CTP 1+ around 1.5 of CTP 2 + 4.37 Replica). Such a pain.

In all honesty, I think Replica and other groups that release these movies should include their AVS Scripts. That will teach ALOT of people, both releasers and home users, how to do some of this stuff. It's 6 lines of text and can save 100s of terabytes of data pollution with these "nukes". I only learned this stuff like a year ago, and encoded around 200 movie before that (thankfully only a very select few were interlaced mildly).

::EDIT - Releasing the script may actually teach MPT how to encode! There may be some hope ::
