just converted and avi with thefilmmachine
so i converted house of wax from xvid..which is wax.avi. I ran it through the filmmachine and it creadted an image file. it also created the two folders audio nad video. but the contentsare empty? when I click on the img file it doesnt open. did I do something wrong?
I don't think you can 'open' .img or .iso files. you'll have to either mount the image file as a drive or burn it in order to see what's in it
you need to either mount the image in daemon tools or burn the .img file to a blank dvd disc

I figured it out...my codecs were all screwed up. I deleted the pakages, and manually deleted certain files from my windows sytem32 registry. downloaded k-lite codec mega packs, direct9 msoft package, and cinema craft encoder 2.67
ran it throught thefile machine and it completed the process with both video_ts and audio_ts folders. burned it to a dvd and whalla.
thanks for your help guys!

k-lite works fine. why all the negative comments, may I ask?
Cos it's a bit like swatting a fly with a shotgun... A shotgun with a hair trigger and a bent barrel
You're basically giving your media player schizophrenia.
