For First copy this is pretty damn good. Great Job POT!

Picture has nice colors to it , no angle or picture cut off noticed. Crop seems nice. Picture is blocky (grainy) but expected. Sound is perfect sync'd (from what i seen so far) disk audio.

Very watchable first copy on opening night. Props POT.

Left side of screen is cropped a decent ammount (that head bobbing in and out is a bit odd, but heh whateer), the video gets blocky in action seqeunce, sound is very nice. Ohh and this movie was absolute shit.

First off, Well Done to POT on the speed and qualerty of this TS.

after watching both cds i can now coment on the releace as a whole.
the sound is VERRY good as to be expected and the picture is good also.
but heres the bad points
as with any cam be it strate cam or TS this releace suffers from the Twat Factor,

whats the Twat Factor i hear you say?
Well the Twat Factor is where one or more TWATS feal the need to get up or bob about IN SHOT whyle a movie is playing.
theres one TWAT that has a head the size of a watermelon in the bottom left of the screen.
for the 1st 5 mins of the movie he's whole head is in frame. props to the Cam dude for noticeing this and has no option but to pan the cam a little to the right hence the crop on the left of the screen.
this Twats melon is still in shot but only a little (but its there) he manages to stay still most of the time untill a fellow Twat feals the need to get up and stand directly in front of the cam.
you will see him in his red sweater standing there trying to work out where his feckin seat is.
for me this stuff isnt a real problem but for some its Real off putting and i can only guess that this hasnt been said yet because as normal most posters havent seen the whole movie before posting.

It must be a real kick in the nuts for the Cam dude to take the risk in Camming this for us only to have a moe moe Twat bobbing up n down or his m8 stand directly in the frame.

this all happens in CD1 where as CD2 theres only the guys head in the bottom left or be it, in and out of frame .
Again i say Well done to the Cam opperator for keeping his eye on the viewfinder and trying his best to pan right and keep this Twats head as much out of shot without loosing too much of the left hand side of the screen.

if it wasnt for the Twat Factor i would go so far as to say this is a Flawless VCD TS with verry good colours and picture qualerty.

a Propper of less qualerty and no Twats wouldnt do.

This is POT's best TS and they did a good job with Ray. Latey POT seems to be the only one putting out the new stuff. Since they're trying more and more to give us TSs, and we complained for them. I for one, will happily download this version. It could be the only copy and it is very good. The video is clean and the sound clear. Really, there can't be any complaints about this copy can there? I'm looking forward to tonight after I've finished converting it to DVD.

When i went to see it last night 8pm in uk, it was on the biggest screen they have at that cinema (which i am sure will be the case, worldwide) and it was packed, and i mean packed!
First off no chance of zooming out to get all the screen in, the widescreen effect would have been terrible! AS for the TWAT factor, the film was that good only the odd twat moved! But i guess he werent so lucky eh?
top rls, and all the shit bits are at beginning of cd1 so props to POT!
watch it...enjoy! then go see it at the cinema! AWESOME on the bigscreen, especially the "dracula/blade slam into the floor" you'll see!

Decent release. Good audio, not bad video except for the guys head in the bottom left corner throughout the whole movie. Audio 8.5 Video 6.5 because of guys head otherwise a 7 or maybe even a 7.5. Overall it is a good release and the way things have been going lately this will probably be the best one until a screener. Great job Pot. Keep em coming.

I usually don't post often, but for this I had to. First, I was dying to see this movie. Second, I didn't expect to be watching it until at least next week...

This is the best telesync POT has ever released by far. Think to yourself: when was the last time I watched a GOOD telesync the day after a movie opened? Frankly, I can't remember once. Congratulations POT on this fabulous release.

Alright, now to get a bit more specific. People have already mentioned the heads as well as entire bodies blocking the screen. It happens more often than in any release I have seen to date, but it is a bother at most. It does not interfere with the movie in any way at all. In fact, you should be busy looking at how sharp the shadow is because of the quality

At some points in the movie, the release does get a little jittery. By this I mean the picture moves slightly back and forth quickly. Again, this is a bother at most, and it has been mentioned before in the thread.

Furthermore, the colors on this release aren't good, but the sharpness of the picture makes up for this entirely. Also, the sound is flawless. All around great job there, no complaints at all. I guess some people might want 5.1 surround, but what more can you ask on a release inside of 24 hours of opening day? Personally, direct sound is just fine, and POT did a great job here.

Now let's revisit the speed of this release. Not only is the release pretty good for a TS (not VideoCD or maVen quality obviously), but they didn't screw up and get nuked for it. Imagine how fast things had to move to get this release out as fast as they did. The last thing I will do is say thanks to POT for an excellent quality and speedy release.

Video quality is pretty good although since its a VCD the resolution is too small so when i watch it on my TV its all pixelerated but still totally watchable.

The sound is freakin great.

The movie itself is pretty good, i really love it. I love the humor touch they put into the movie with Ryan Reynolds aka Van Wilder. The Wisler's chick is totally hot

Spoilers and Bad Ratings

Just a note to some people,

Can those who say, this movie was Utter shit, really crap, alful just stick to a RATING between 0-10 as I and many would consider this to be a spoiler.

Also when you rate a movie then see 10 as being ORIG DVD Quality with no re-encoding of the flixs, just that some of the 8's laterly are no better than true 6 or 7's.

So an 8 say that went blocky in action scenes would be more a 7, I think this is all due to lack of very good quality of late with some movies, not that they not been good thoe.

I was force to this by comments saying this movie is shit and a VHS rip of a movie that scored 10,10,NA which if ripped from VHS it could never be a 10.

Cool now forget me and continue with your lifes...

I would just like to say that i think pot did a great job getting this out so fast. usualy u have to wait 1 week to finally get something of this quaity. if u are bothered by the heads in it then fuck off to the cinema, no one said this was perfect. but its v good.

I have read some of the post and some people are thick on here. what is all this about a Cam? this is a TS.

TS= Cam video source, with sound from the headphone jack.
Cam= person in cinema with a cam, sound direct from cam mic.

Very good for POT but i have to irreterate that any group thet releases cams should at least check the quality of the release, and in this statement i mean 'have a good looksie over' it must be oviouse to everyone by now that POT simply release Quickly for the sake of releasing Quickly!!! anyhow for a cam its not too bad in the quality stakes i would normally give this a good 7.5-8 but the simple fact is that there is one imperticular asshole gettin up n down constantly throughout the entire movie so this makes the release (in my opinon) a 5 at best the sound is very very good for a POT release, All in all great job POT get rid of the assholes n you boys will Rule the Release world

At first glance you might think this is a decent release, but after watching the whole movie...its not that good. watched this one last night, thought it would suck, but was actually good. Has a totally different feel than as the other 2 did, and loaded with more action than previous 2. I thought the head in the cam was gonna be way more distracting after reading authurs review of quality, but was hardly a major problem. Excellent quality except for that. And as for whether or not POT makes his own cams or not who really gives a shit, at least hes always putting them out there for all of us to watch. dont be so ungrateful, its free!

Hi I have a problem with the the sound is like donald duck on the pacific dvd players I have tried it on 5 of these system's it's still the same, but is alright on others, can someone help or have I got a crap copy, other than that it's a good copy shame about the heads and the people with the moby's, video i would give 8 out of 10, sound well I can't comment on that , quality again 8 out of 10

the picture was good on my 28" would have been great except for the B*stards who take a walk during the movie, the head in left hand corner is no more than a minor irritation, the direct sound was a real plus for such a quick release, overall the best early release ive had in a long time..

converted to dvd using dvdlab so no re-encode involved.

for a release day cam that was impressive. don't usually grab POT for all the previous statements made in this thread, but this was as good as many that knock about weeks after some movies come out.

6.5 - probably only worth a 6, but considering how fast it was available i'm giving it an extra .5

8 - it was outta synch, just slightly and only for a little while, but enough for me to notice, so i knocked .5 off. but otherwise very impressive.

6 - same ol same ol, you know what to expect and it delivers with considerably less style than norrington and a pissy annoying semi-narrative. also has smartass cliched humour, woulda preferred smartass cliched gorefest. all in all it was...OK.

What happened

What happened to all of those beautiful releases by the best release gourps like

1) Centropy
2) maVen
3) Videocd

I have been waiting for a good copy of Seed of Chucky, Blade Trinity, and National Treasur. Come guys lets get some real copies that are worth out bandwith.

I don't post very often but i do watch the majority of releases. and I must admit that I really agree with just about everything that slats34 said.

I think slats34 and I watched the same movie cuz he said exactly what I was going to say.

I normally watch my movies on a 35 inch TV.
However, I watched this release of Blade Trinity at my friends house on a 92 inch big screen. After reading the previous comments I was expecting average quality with heads and people popping up all over the screen.

Well, it wasn't bad at all. In fact I was very pleasantly surprised at how good the quality of this release really is.

There were only a few times when anyone stood up, and when it did happen you hardly noticed because they looked like they were part of that scene (yes, there was 1 exception and that lasted for about 5 seconds when some guy is standing to the right of the screen and looks like he is saying "What's Up" to someone on his left... also there is a shadow someone's head in the far lower left of the screen - but it goes away after about 6 minutes into the film - and even while it's there it doesn't interfere with any parts of the movie).

Truthfully, these incidents were quite minor and caused no distraction with this release. Someone mentioned the picture being blocky or pixated. Well, it's not blocky. But I noticed some very minor pixation 2x that occured within 1 minute of each other and only for less than 3 seconds each. These occured with about 25 minutes left in the movie. Again, they were no big deal.

I'm only even mentioning it cuz some people have really made it seem like it was a big issue. I'm here to keep it real.
I watch a lot of movies and even on a 92 inch screen it was barely noticeable.

I could care less who releases a movie. I just care about the quality. I stand by my rating. If they got rid of the head in the left corner and people couple of times that someone stands up, then it would only improve my rating of the picture quality by .5 at the most. There was no problem with the sound. I enjoyed the storyline, the humor and the action in this movie. There was a lot of action and you could see it all quite well. I don't know what it looks like in the theater, but on the 92 inch screen it looked great.
The colors looked very good. The picture wasn't as clear as in the theater, but it was close to VHS quality. Even if someone doesn't like the movie, I still stand by my judgment of the picture quality (8.0), sound (9.0), overall movie (8.5)

For those who are on the fence, This is a very good release, so get it if you can. There is no reason to wait for a better release. Just get this one now, and when a better release comes out then get that one also.

Obviously the previously mentoned "twat factor", the little jitters at times early on, and VCD limitations all detract from video quality, but this is very watchable on the TV even with slightly washed out colours.
Audio sounded awsome.
We all enjoyed the movie immensely (enough to go down the local fleapit next week) and I don't understand how people can say it's weaker than the preceding episodes; at least they killed off Kristoffersen before he hammed the film into oblivion.

because it aint svcd, stop rating this compared to maVen svcd ts releases, rate it as a vcd ts, vcd and svcd are different completely
vcd is lower quality than svcd
rate it as a vcd telesync an stop slaging off POT!

Nice way better than that svcd
A head is in the way some of the time but its not that bad. Someone does stand directly in front of the cam for a sec, The colours are ok a little washed. The pic is nice though and sound is on the spot...

honestly if ur gonna compare this to maVen/videoCD or even Centropy of a while back, there really is no comparison. videoCD and centropy's are obviously better quality. those ts's are around 8-10 range. but considering how centropy doesnt have their source anymore and videocd/maven release randomly here and again, pot always releases cams/ts. now to be fair to pot, this is one of their best quality releases video-wise, prolly other than their sleepover release a while back. i am going to give this a 7 for video simply because it is extremely watchable, but not the quality of videocd or centropy. it should be considered a ts, because the sound is simply not from the cam audio, so what else could it be called?
